MemberMothra LarvaeDec-08-2014 1:23 PMNow as many of you know, Toho are officially making a new Godzilla movie set to be released in 2016, and i instantly hopped aboard the hype train. I am so hyped that I actually created my own concept for the new creature, combining various concepts of the beasts before. I call this design "RebornGoji"!
This beast has a completely new face, based off of the realism of the Legendary design, and that of a dog, to get Toho's classic mammalian feel. The spines are reminiscent to the classic millenium design: jagged, sharpcand thin, almost as though this beast is a walking cave with stalagmites for armor. A heavy build is reminiscent to the Legendary design, but also does not feel too much like it. To me, even though it takes some inspiration to the new Legendary design, it's just more or less intended to be a realistic combination between the Heisi and Millenium designs. Also, LegendaryGoji for scale :). Give me your feedback in the comments below, and be honest! Don't say it's a good drawing unless you mean it! And I can tell if you mean it, because if you don't, I will find you...

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-08-2014 1:44 PMIts neat, defintly cool, but i dont really think thats the direction TOHO should go. They should stay true too the classic design. That way it could differentiate itself from the Legendary design, which stayed true too the silhouette instead of the Godzilla design as a whole.
Again, i like your stuff but i dont find it fitting for this particular situation.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-08-2014 1:47 PMThanks for the honesty! I'm just so enamored with the new design that I can't help but use it in this design, but I do think that it has a high chance of looking NOTHING like this.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-08-2014 2:16 PMDon't mind at all! In fact, I tried to do it myself, but my stupid device decided to crash every time, so thanks BigBadBen!
