Please dont mention the obvious part of the film (The Cutaways) we all dislike that part.

We all know thats one down part.

Any way what did you liked most and hated most about the film?

Part I liked the most: I like that the film was done in modern technology, It was great seeing Godzilla in GOOD CGI for the first time.

Part I disliked the most: The ending was the worse part of this movie, It was beyond my worst expectations and it made Godzilla feel too much like a good guy.

I had high hope that ending would've been intense like GMK or Godzilla againts MG (2002)

cuz a Godzilla with that kind of look should be terrorizing people at the end as well not put smiles on their faces.

The best: KISS OF DEATH!

The worse: the trailer lied to us, we thought Godzilla is going to be threat but no and we thought Bryan Cranston is going to be the main character/atogonist or whatever

That depends are we talking scenes or aspects of the movie. I was going to say the characters were the worst part excluding Joe Brody, but the misleading advertising was really bad. I guess I'll also go with the misleading advertising.

My favorite part is without a doubt the Flying MUTO breaking out of the caccoon in Janjira, but overall I think the cinematography was amazing and well done overall.

KaijuJira- Just to give an insight on your opinion, i think the ending was actually perfect. Godzilla was neutral, if he was a good guy he would have done something cheesy like wave at the crowd or the Jurassic Park Roar.

Nope, instead he let out a triumphant roar and went back to sea, so i dont get your view on that being the worst part of the film.

Ahem, i actually liked the entire film but if i had to pick one favirote scene it would be right in the middle of San fransisco when Godzilla rise's to face the male in the final battle, that entire scene ending at when the door's closed was fantastic and well done.

I disliked Ford Brody and his wife, they were bland character's and i would hate to see them return. Fortunately Fans hated them too so they wont be coming back.

Good grief.

Hate hate hate... Am I seriously the ONLY ONE who hated NOTHING about this movie?  I feel like a broken record, but "hate" is word that I would never apply to a movie... Hitler, sure, but not a MOVIE.

For me personally, I enjoyed the HELL out of this film.  Is the best Godzilla film ever made?  No.  Are there some areas that could have been improved upon?  You bet.  But there isn't ONE thing that affects my enjoyment of this awesome film.

*stamps foot* so there. :)

I don't know where to begin. Hmmmm.....lets see.

The acting from Aaron Taylor Johnson is a disappointment, i felt like his character showed no emotion what so ever.

Godzilla- although protrayed like a force of nature, was actually a hero. Yoshimitsu Banno ruined godzilla yet again.

The cutaways for the most obvious reasons.

Not to mention, it wasn't even close to what the SDCC 2012 teaser showed us.

I loved seeing the monsters attack each other, but the acting (exept Joe) seemed very inhuman.

Sigh. I'm beginning to feel like I'm the only one who actually really likes this movie.

Anyway, this is what I think about each of the common issues I've seen:

Characters/Acting: I liked Ford and had nothing against him. He was what he was supposed to be. As for other characters like Elle, they just didn't get a big enough part in the movie to actually do much. But I don't know what was wrong with their acting...

Joe Brody's Death: It was sad and disappointing, and that was the point. But it wasn't so big an issue to me that it took away any enjoyment for the film. I could deal with it without counting it as a flaw. Or maybe I just wasn't as attached to Joe as everyone else seems to be. After all, I don't watch or have any interest in Breaking Bad.

Godzilla as a hero: I'm gonna flat out say that I'm happy they went with this. But that's just me. I liked him the way he was in this movie. I thought the force of nature concept was really cool. I'll admit that I would have definitely liked one or more military Vs Godzilla scenes, and the lack of it was slightly disappointing, but not a huge issue to me.

Godzilla's screentime: This was the only thing that bummed me out a bit. Just a COUPLE more minutes or scenes would have been fine. But this is the ONLY thing I count as something I dislike about the movie. And his limited screentime would have not been an issue at all, but the focus was on the MUTOs, so his small amount of time on the screen was disappointing. See, if the movie and the characters were focusing mainly on Godzilla, it wouldn't matter how many times he showed up or how long. It only matters because he didn't show up very much and he wasn't even really the focus.

The cutaways: I just don't grasp why this is such a big thing with everyone. Sure, it was disappointing the first time. But think about it; Gareth really built up the climax by doing this. If we had seen all the previous battles, the final one would have been cool, but not hugely exciting because we would have already seen it. Whereas when it got to the real battle, the one we were about to witness, I was so excited because we were seeing it for the first time. It made the climax spectacular, in my opinion. Not saying one other small battle would have been bad, but given how awesome the final battle and the climax was, the cutaways just don't bother me, and I'm surprised that everyone else still counts them as an issue.

That's everything, I think. So short answers:

What I liked: Almost everything.

What I disliked: The limited focus on Godzilla, and a little more screentime or at least one military battle would have been nice.

Godzilla a hero, yes because a hero just kills thousands of people I never got that vibe godzilla was a hero, he didn't give a crap about humans sure he saved some but I doubt he meant to.  While the movie had some flaws sure but I think to be fair they weren't as bad as people make them out to be. Was Arron the best actor in the movie, no but he isn't as bad as people make him out to be. The cutaways the best idea, no but they did what they we're suppose to and hype up the final battle and it did work. As far as secreen time for the big g could have been more but was epic for what he was in. Any way  back to the topics I really like the moments with the pocket watch those we're just powerful moments and the film looked amazing. The ending was weak but for what it is I can live with it.

Godzilla himself was okay.

The SFX were nice.

The main characters were half-interesting.

The soundtrack was forgettable.

The MUTOs were awful foes.
