There's a difference between Bluray with 3D glasses and Bluray 3D. Some movies in the past were just Bluray discs with 3D glasses packaged with it. Others are actual Bluray 3D discs which require a 3D Bluray player (which is different from a regular Bluray player. Although some firmware updates might have been able to upgrade some regular players... I'm not sure how that works) and a 3D TV which comes with the high tech 3D glasses.
It sounds to me you watched a regular Bluray of Journey to the Center of the Earth with cheap, packaged 3D glasses. Unless I'm mistaken. Do you have a 3D Bluray player?
