The Awakening of Kijura: Chapter 12

The Awakening of Kijura: Chapter 12: The Cold.

     The air had become cold. Kijura had emerged from the freezing cold water, which was much colder than before she went to sleep in it. She realized it had been two days since she went to sleep. With her emergence Firrarus and Little Luna had noticed the cold too. It was unnatural. It was summer it wasn’t supposed to be this cold. The only way it could get this cold was…

     Suddenly a burst of wings, hundreds of Kishou Dorogan emerged from the trees around them. They all split into three groups, each group targeting a Kaiju. There was larger one who was bigger than the rest of them. He seemed to be the leader of them. He gave a signal and the three groups dived at them. Kijura used her tail and hit a bunch of them with her tail. They all collided and fell into the trees, stunned. Firrarus dived out of the way and they all hit the ground with a smack. Little Luna dived into the lake and waited for to go inside the lake she could attack it.

     The Kishou Dorogan surrounded Kijura and she was swatting at them with her claws, but to no avail, they were too fast. Firrarus rolled into a ball and extended his spikes. They started coating him with and soon he was an icy ball. He burst out of a ball and sent ice chunks everywhere. Several large chunks hit a group of Kishou Dorogan and they fell into the ground covered in ice.

     The Kishou Dorogan tried to freeze the lake over Little Luna, but they couldn’t generate enough ice to cover the lake. Also Little Lune would just melt any ice they generate. Any Kishou Dorogan that came too close to the lake would be pulled under by Little Luna and drowned.

     Kijura swatted her arms and finally came into contact with a large group of them, making them fly out of control and hit other ones. Ice chunks came and knocked out a bunch of them out. Kijura looked over to see the Kishou Dorogan that were attacking Firrarus, leaving and coming towards her. Firrarus rolled into a ball again and shot towards the Kishou Dorogan. He rolled up on a roll and launched in the air.  He took out a lot of them, and was heading towards Kijura. She sidestepped and Firrarus missed her.

     Only a few Kishou Dorogan’s were in the air, including the leader. The rest were either dead or unconscious. Outnumbered, the rest decided to retreat, seeing that they couldn’t win.
