ZIlla 98 official topic

There's already a stickied thread about people's feelings on zilla in the classic section. 

This isnt about how they feel about Zilla himself but more him and the movie :).

What I said was to refrain from making a Godzilla '98 thread, not make an official thread. Official threads don't work. 

Anyway, I liked the design of the thing, but I'm not a diehard fan like some of you guys, so what do I know? 

Im sorta with Mr. Happy, I like the design and stuff, buti aint so into him

I for one love the fast, slender design of Zilla. Like a huge Velociraptor. But then again, what do I know, I've only seen Godzilla 98 and Godzilla 2014.

Nah everything was wrong with the design.

Too slim, no atomic breath, easily killable.

But the animated series is where it shines apparently strange that the cartoon turned out better than the movie.

I've always felt that Zilla's design and abilities worked well as his own monster. If you try to pass Zilla off as Godzilla, then you're bound to draw a lot of backlash. Zilla is a quick, cunning, agile, and well-adapted monster, while Godzilla is an indestructible living natural disaster, a god among mortals. Zilla lacks attack power and defense, but he makes up for it with his speed and ability to hide from and ambush agressors. I think Zilla's design looks cool, and it compliments his abilities and personality very well.

personally i hate zilla his design is ok but he is a patetic monster, but zilla jr, on the other hand is preety decent

As most people agree, Zilla is his own monster. If only his movie was named Zilla...

However, I do love the design. It looks like a giant dinosaur, and I love dinosaurs.

Also, the cartoon series was a lot better than the movie. Let's have a look:

I hated the movie, not because of the monster, but because of the thrown together plot and cliche characters. The cartoon was a lot better, plot, characters, and even with the monster.

As already stated, Zilla is in fact his own monster, proven with the fact he has fought Godzilla in movie and comic, and even went through several legal cases officially making that thing called Zilla his own monster. It was even stated in GMK that it is not Godzilla.

But as with any monster, people still have the right to not like him. Some people don't like Mothra, "but she's not Godzilla! She's a different monster!" Well, they still don't like her. *completely hypotheical situation, I have yet to meet a G fan who doesn't like Mothra*

I've actually made huge progress in editing the Blu-Ray release of Godzilla 1998 into a new fan-film entirely. I've taken out every mention of "Godzilla" (besides base of reference), taken out some lame dialouge and situations (good-bye "lots of fish!"), and have even given Zilla his Green Power Breath from the animated series:

Responding to your "stay on the JW forums, this world isn't meant for you" attack on me, that's just as laughable as your arguments. Then again i didn't take into account you were probably an absent minded kid, so it's fine.

@Natezilla that actually looks pretty badass. I would say finish and release it!

Carnosaur- Are you mad about something? Because you seem pretty rageful right now. You have no idea what we are talking about with Zilla. You started out on the JW forums, you just came to the Godzilla forums and you dont know alot of Godzilla history. Thats why when you said my arguement was dumb you were being dumb. And only a kid would call someone else a Kid. Calling someone a kid is the most overused dumb insult ever! Thats why i am saying that you dont know how to work on the Godzilla forums. You dont know how to be a nice person and respect others.

Nonetheless, telling someone they should "go back to a forum" isn't a very nice thing to do either. Don't know about anyone else here, but I'd have been pretty offended if someone told me that. Not a very great way to get new members, and it is pretty immature. 

mr.happy- .....hm....Sorry..... But calling someone a absent minded kid is worse then being called to stay on a certain forum that your used to :). Calling someone a Kid is very insulting when someone doesnt exactly know all the Godzilla history.

I know, but still. Not everyone is going to know much about Godzilla. The new movie was the first one I've ever seen, and I enjoyed it, but I'd rather watch movies like JP and X-Men.

This is a Zilla thread so I figured I would explain your question about my fan fic tl you in this topic

Kate was 24 when she died, and Pete was 25 because his birthday is in March where he will turn 26 in the current day. I meant that Kate and Pete were already in a relationship for 2 years at the time of her death, Pete was 23 and she was 21 when they first met. I meant it for Peter to be silent through the whole thing,  as if he wasnt there.

Also, should I put my PR v Godzilla14 on hold so I can continue with the Zilla fan fic or should I continue eith PR v G14 and do that later. Reason im asking is because the Zilla fan fic has the character development for Peter. 

Mr happy but then accusing someone of being a kid when they dont know what Godzilla history is including Zilla. If someone does not know what Godzilla is they should not accuse someone of making bad arguments and call them a absent minded Kid. Dont you agree?

Yeah, I agree. However, instead of telling them to go back to a forum, try explaining the info to said person. 

This was started by that one comment about Zilla being smarter than Godzilla, correct? Everyone's entitled to their opinions, so don't say someone's lost their mind because they think in a different way than you. 

:) i know Godzilla history buuuuttt i'm not going to sit here and lay out the millenium, show, and heisei movie time lines for you. I grew up on Godzilla. Moving on you can take being called a kid however you feel like, because i just don't give a damn. Your argument for G98 being a poor movie was horrific. End. Of. Story. I've seen others make a better case for it and i respect them for not just saying "it sucks because it does." that's just ridiculous. That being said, i'm done on this thread because it's absolutely futile going back and forth with some kid.
