I like King Kong for King Kong while I love Godzilla for well..Godzilla. This always happens when a multitude of films come to play, yes I mean a crossover. I personally do NOT want to see Godzilla, a 355 foot atomic beathing nuke-proof amphibian fight a giant Gorilla -__- I feel as if they will do that and for me, that kinda hurts this new tone of Godzilla...YES I KNOW GHIDORAH A GOLD THREE HEADED DRAGON WILL BE IN THE SEQUEL, but that was sure to happen anyway.
I just hope these films stay distant from each other, but tthats just me..
So what do you guys think? Do you want any type of cross over? Godzilla vs King Kong? Godzilla vs Pacific Rim? Godzilla vs King Kong: All out Jaeger Assult? lol Because I sure don't..

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-27-2014 6:56 PMI definitealy noticed they set up the potential for a new Godzilla Vs. King Kong, but sure hope they don't. Keep the films and franchises separate. I don't want a crossover movie with any of these, especially with Marvel already having hold on the crossovers galore. If they do have a cross over movie with Godzilla Vs Anything, I hope it's not in continuity with the main films.

To me, just because King Kong is getting another movie, a prequel no less, means absolutely nothing regarding his potential to cross over into Godzilla. Pacific Rim is the same way, which is to say it's not going to happen. Why? Becuase the lore doesn't line up. Pacific Rim's lore has no room for Godzilla because it's already established that the FIRST Kaiju to ever appear came from the Rift and were alien life forms. There's no Godzilla potential there, as he's an ancient alpha predator from Earth who's been around for hundreds of millions of years.
This prequel for Kong doesn't mean anything for crossovers, so don't worry yourself over it. A King Kong prequel will not suddenly leap into another King Kong vs. Godzilla film. A 25 foot Gorilla doesn't just suddenly become 350 feet to match Godzilla for size.
