Ford drives to the garage and parks.
-Hello Lieutenant Brody.-says one of the workers.
-Hello Dr.Shinoda. Already leaving?
-My son forgot his homework at home, I must go before the classes begin.
-Ok, see you later then.
The woman enters the car and drives away while Ford enters the facility. Suddenly, Takashi appears in front of him.
-Have you seen Dr.Shinoda?
-Yes, she just left.
-Goddamit! Come with me.
-Why, what is going on?
They return to the garage and enter Ford's car.
-She was seen breaching the operation's room. She downloaded our files to a flashdrive.
-She is a mole? She has a son here!
-I know, that is why we think that she is being coerced into this. Which means that we need to get to her before she gives the flashdrive to her contacts. Do you have a gun?
-Yes, check in the glove compartiment.
Takashi opens the compartiment and takes out a Glock pistol.
-And what about you?
-Jesus, Takashi. It's not like she is going to shoot us.
-She won't, but her contacts will. Do you have another gun?
-No, this is not a mobile armory.
-Then just drive.
They go through the main road, and eventually spot Dr.Shinoda's car.
-There she is. We can easily cut her off.
Ford steps on the gas and manages to put themselves in front of Dr.Shinoda's car, forcing her to follow them into an alley. They exit the car.
-So, play time is over Dr.Shinoda, hand over the flashdrive.
-You don't understand. They will kill my son if I don't give it to them.
-We do understand, but what guarantees you that they won't do it anyway even if you give them what they want?
-They promise.
-Ok, let's do it like this: you hand over the flashdrive and we will give you another one with fake intel. We will follow you to the meeting place and we will capture your contact and rescue your son. Understand?
-No. No! They are not regular terrorists. They are americans.
-What!? How do you know?
-They are from the FBI.
Ford takes a deep breath.
-Unbelievable.-says him-I am calling HQ.
-Yes, do that.-says Takashi
-Please, we don't have much time. He said at 9:30.-says a distraught Dr.Shinoda
-This is Lieutenant Ford Brody. We intercepted Dr.Shinoda, but it seems that she was giving the intel to the FBI in exchange for the life of her son.
-The FBI making those kind of threats?
-It seems so. Look, we are planning to let her hand over the drive. We will capture the contact and rescue her son.
-Good. you are clear to proceed. Do you want backup?
-Call the local police to have their tatical team ready.
-Will do.
Ford hangs up the phone.
-Ok, Dr.Shinoda, we will be right behind you. Do not worry, we will get you son back, I promise.
-Thank you.
They enter their cars and Shinoda drives away with Ford and Takashi at a safe distance. Shinoda stops at a crowded street and exits the car. Ford and Shinoda park near and look around.
-They must have more men checking the perimeter. Keep your eyes open and act normal or we will be spotted in no time.-says Takashi.
A man grabs Shinoda's arm and drags her to a van.
-They putted her into a van.-says Takashi.
-I saw it. Back to the car, quick.
They walk fast into the car and start tailing the van.
-We are driving in circles. The kid must be in the van.-says Ford
-It makes sense. Call the intervention team.
Ford picks up the phone and calls the police, informing them of the situation.
-It's not everyday that you get to work against the FBI.-says Ford
-Tell me about it. I just hope we are in the right place this time.
-They are not the bad guys. The main problem right now is the president. As soon as that lunatic is in world court where he belongs, we can negotiate our return home.
The van drops out Shinoda and her son and they start pursuing the van. The FBI opens the backdoors and starts shooting on them. Ford tries to dodge the fire but looses control of the car and crashes into the sidewalk. They exit the car and just as they think they loose them, a police truck appears from an alley, causing the van to crash into it. Ford and Takashi run to them as the tatical unit holds the agents at gunpoint, forcing them out of the van.
-Lieutenants Takashi and Brody. Thank you for the assistance.-says Takashi to the seargent.
-Well, well, if it ain't the two traitors.-says one of the agents
-Says the man who was willing to kill a kid for intel. You make me sick.-says Ford
-So what? We have always done it.
-That does not mean I agreed before all this. Can't you see that the president is insane?
-That is what all the terrorists say. That our president is the supreme evil, while they bomb every inch of Baghdad.
-Found the drive.-says Takashi
Monarch's security arrives.
-Seargent. Do you mind if we take them before leaving them at your precint?-asks Takashi
-Ok. Men, we are returning to the precint.-says the Seargent
-We wont talk.-says the man.
-That is what all the terrorists say.-responds Ford.
They put the men on the van and return to the HQ.

1 hour later

Dr.Serizawa meets with Dr.Graham.
-How did the council go?-asks Serizawa
-Not fine. They are too afraid of beggining a conflict with the americans that they refuse to look at the evidences.
-That means that we must proceed even without their consent.
-I know. I am naming you responsible for Operation Goliath.
-Thank you. I will do my best.
-I know you always do.
-Hey, how is the progress on the exo-suits?
-Oh, you mean the Jaguar suits? The first prototype looks promising. in a matter of weeks we can integrate them in MIST's armory.
-Good. I have a feeling that they will be essential in infiltrating Groom Lake.
-But before putting our fate in machines, we should put it in our men. Call in the rest of the MIST. We need to formulate a plan now, more than ever, since the americans know that we are aware of their interference.
