Let's pretend we went to an alternate universe.

Legendary announced a movie about Godzilla exactly like the one we've got now, but it's not called Godzilla, it was instead named "Monsters of the Pacific".

In this alternate universe, Jurassic Park also didn't held this name, the movie is exactly as it was, but it was instead called "Tyrannosaurus".

Now, out of pure curiosity, what would your reaction be to these movies?

Personally, I would feel no different.

If the monster still sounds/acts like Godzilla I wouldn't feel any different either.

I'd still love them both. Just saw Godzilla tonight.

Speaking of Godzilla and Jurassic Park, did anyone catch the JP reference? There was a part when the bus driver (bridge scene), clears fog off the bus window to get a clear view of Godzilla, similar to how Ian Malcolm cleared fog off the window to see the Tyrannosaurus.
