The Director's Cut

Now that the movie has been seen and reviewed, both positive and negative, the biggest thing that really bothered a good chunk of the audience is of course, Godzilla’s lack of screen time. Even though I adore this movie endless, don’t get me wrong, I would love it more still if there’s added sequences of him. So that’s where I’ll be looking forward to next, for Gareth Edwards to release an extended cut.

As you all might have realized, a ton of scenes are actually cut from the movie, all from Akira’s airport scene, to even some of Godzilla’s CGI shots. (A shot of the MUTO flying over the screen in the Asia Trailer?)

The theatrical version is awesome, I love it as it is, but I would be highly interested in a Director’s Cut as well. It will please more people, add substantially more depth to the characters and not to mention, heighten the bar even further.
