IGN gives Godzilla a 9.0 (Amazing)

I'm happy IGN gave it a positive score :-)

Unfortunately, I don't really like IGN. They seem to be very....bought and paid for....they seem to give strong ratings to anything from a major studio that's hotly anticipated.

At least with video game reviews. I admit, I haven't read too many movie reviews from them. But in the gaming world, IGN is totally in the back pocket of the Doritocracy.

Sweet. This movie is really starting to sound like it's gonna be a huge success!

Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 83%! Wow I just noticed that now. So far this film has been getting all positive reviews from different sites :)

I just wish more 'Top Critics' would weigh in. 

A lot of people only consider 'Top Critics' Reviews when looking at Rotten Tomatoes, and right now, only 1 has posted. 

I'm sure more will come :-)

"Doritocracy" is my favorite new word. XD

So it was foretold that they were going to focus more on the human element but it seems that it was their only con in the movie.

my thoughts exactly. i honestly am critical of movies i watch as well, and if this really is the case, im going to have to change my mindset when walking into the theater to "watch as if you are going to watch any godzilla movie previously excluding Gojira". Wish it hadnt come to this BUT I am still excited to see it

To me IGN is one of my favorite movie review sites.  They tend to be pretty hard on movies (they only gave Captain Phillips a low 8 score I believe and that was up for best picture).  I've seen movies I liked that they gave lower scores to and I've rarely seen a bad movie they've given a good score to.  Say what you will about their game reviews, their movie reviews are generally good (although I disagreed with their scores for Frozen and The Lego Movie)

As a side note, if you go to the comments section of IGN's actual review on their site holy crap it has devlolved into boob and ass gifs.
