Yeah at the moment all these ratings are more than likely troll votes from people who haven't seen it. I think the movie's final proper rating will be at around 7.5 - 8.0 :)

I was just gonna start a discussion about this lol 1 week left!!!!!

The movies rating will hopefuly be a 8.0-8.5 and maybe higher, But I really don't want it getting any lower then that, I want this movie to be the best Godzilla we've seen so, let's hope for the best.

There are likely some troll ratings. At the same time, though, there are several thousand people (at least) who have already seen the film so who knows. I could see it getting a high rating but we'll see. 

2 guys above pretty much stated why imdb isnt a good way to base ratings off of.

Right now Godzilla (2014) has a rating of 9.1.

Comparatively, Godzilla (1998) has a 5.3 and Godzilla (1954) has a 7.5. I suspect this rating will drop when the movie comes out world-wide, but I think it'll land on a 7.5-8.5. If that's true, it'll be rated even higher than the cult classic that began it all. I'm okay with this.

So I didn't want to start a new topic here for this/didn't want to start a panic but I skimmed some of the reviews on imdb (note skimmed... Didn't want anything spoiled) and it looks like some reviews are talking about there being NO ATOMIC BREATH! Can someone who has seen the film please comment on this and either confirm this or lay our fears at rest?? Yeah we've seen his breath in toys and video games... But the 98 Zilla had fire breath in his toys and video games too :(

I haven't seen the movie but i have read early screening reviews, almost all saying that the atomic breath is used at least once, and it is one of the moneyshots of the movie...

I think the movie is gonna be good.At least 7.5 or higher cause we've seen some scenes in the trailers and some footage that makes it seem like a good movie.Who knows...

Linkman89 - it has been confirmed that Godzilla uses his atomic breath in the movie... A member of this forum who claimes that he has seen the movie actually said Godzilla uses it more than once :) No wories, I think they couldn't skip such an iconic thing as Godzilla's atomic breath ;-)
