THANKS FOR READING :)
Honestly, you have a brilliant idea with this.
LEGENDARY introduces GAMERA.
The Earth's protector is here...
Something like that.
@CornClotGrumble- I don't know if you're being condescending, rude, or amused. Either way. I am encouraging a plausible idea. Why be a buzzkill?
After all, Legendary does seem to be the leader in Kaiju related films. Godzilla 2014 Rules idea isn't without merit.
^I don't see how it's remotely plausible though.
I dunno, I don't see how that movie could be done well. I mean, for the good of Godzilla and future American sequels I would hope that movie DID NOT get made actually. It would degrade so much of the good work Gareth Edwards and Legendary have been trying to do to get Godzilla some respect with general audiences.
I'm not saying I wouldn't want that movie. If they made it, I would TOTALLY watch it. I would just want Toho or somebody like that to do it. That way it would be more par for the course sort of a thing.
Regardless of who made it, I would increasingly hope that they don't chicken out with some wishy washy 'it was a tie' ending. One of the two would need to definitely WIN.
^But that's completely how they would do it to appease not only both fan bases, but the studios as well. The only way a Godzilla vs. Gamera movie could be done right is if a mutual threat is introduced and after fighting for most of the movie they join forces to end the new threat.
I agree I'd rather Toho/Daiei do it, but Toho would never agree to that. They don't want or need a Godzilla vs. Gamera movie. Never have. So if Toho doesn't want it, why would Legendary? There's even less use for a Godzilla vs. Gamera movie in the international market considering Gamera's popularity outside of Japan is practically non-existant.
