I have a theory. I do not really have evidence but this is what I came up with by watching Pacific Rim. What if Pacific Rim makes mechagodzilla? Think about it, if you go back to the original mechagodzilla vs godzilla, mechagodzilla was made by people from Japan. What if the people in pacific rim make mechagodzilla? Pacific rim makes giant rebots to save the world from kaijus right? they make there movie first , then the new Godzilla movie comes out, the people from pacific rim see Godzilla emerge, and build a rebot based off of his charater.

Wrong on several points.

The original Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla arrived in 1974, and Mecha-G was created by spacemen. He was also created by spacemen in the sequel, Terror of Mechagodzilla. In the 1992 film Godzilla vs Machagodzilla II, Mecha-G was actually created by the futurian technology. While it's true that Japanese scientists and engineers put the mech together, it would not have been possible without the metal acquired from Mecha King Ghidorah.

Mechagodzilla is only purely Japanese made in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and in Tokyo S.O.S.

Every other time Mecha-G has been the product of technology beyond the means of Japanese science and engineering.

Also, there is no point in making Mechagodzilla in this new franchise. Making a giant mech based off of a Kaiju has no redeemable qualities. Not only that, but there is no logic behind constructing a mechanical Kaiju. Why create a mechanical Kaiju at all? The only reason would be because it looks cool, and that is not enough to give it justification to exist.

Besides, there is currently no cross-over taking place (nor even planned) between the two franchises.

I know how much everyone loves Mecha-G, but you really need to let this go. Edwards and Legendary have made it very clear that there are not going to be any returning Toho monsters in their franchise. Mecha-G was an interesting design, but it belongs in Toho's history, not America's future.
