AdminGodzillaNov-13-2013 5:42 PMMax Borenstein, one of the writers of the new Godzilla, recently tweeted this:

What does this mean? Well not too much exciting. But it does mean that a workprint version of the movie is probably completed and that Max Borenstein probably saw an early cut with unfinished special effects, sound and music.
The good news is a complete, early cut makes it easier to pick shots for trailers. The bad news is workprints typically need a lot of special effects and sound work. So if an early cut was just recently completed (we don't know the exact time table, though) I would assume there wouldn't be too many effects shots in the first trailer.

On another subject there's a new (I think) interview with Edwards, Johnson, Cranston and Olsen. (At least I've never read it before.) Some interesting stuff about the film's production is mentioned in it for the movie buffs in the crowd. I'm not sure if it's a new interview or an old one that's been re-posted. Either way, it's worth a look.
