The marketing for Kong: Skull island has increased as the film gets closer. First, there was a new poster revealed at New York Comic Con, which displayed Skull island. This poster revealed many secrets under special lighting, and we covered it earlier. Today, a live viral website for Kong Skull Island was uncovered.
This website is a in-universe website, focusing on the initial search for Skull Island, utilizing radar technology. The websites seems to have many hints as to Skull Island's connections to the Godzilla universe. most notably is that the website is run by Monarch, the secret government organization that investigated Godzilla and the MUTO's in the 2014 movie.
So far there appears to be a lot to discover a the website indicates that the 'LANDSAT Intercept' is 29 percent complete. However, what is interesting is that the website has a thermal imaging system that allows you to see the topography of the world through a rotating map.
So far it does not appear that the website is being made available to interact with at this time. The screen merely shows the Radar targeting system looking over a random section and there does not appear to be at this time a way in which to control it.
