As the nuclear dust starts to settle on the high probability that in the near future we could be seeing a remake of 1962's King Kong vs Godzilla, we are left with the fallout that Kong: Skull Island is now being distributed by Warner Bros. and will feature the top secret government organisation Monarch, which first appeared in Gareth Edwards Godzilla. Being set in the 1970's, a whole forty years before the events of Godzilla cancels out the possibility of Ken Watanabe representing the kaiju hunting task force, though its highly possible that the movies latest addition, Hollywood and US television legend John Goodman, could be fulfilling that role.
Goodman is reportedly to play the role of a character called Randa, a (Monarch) government official that leads an expidition to Skull Island. Goodman star of movies like Arachnophobia, Fallen and the Flinstones will join the ever growing cast that is reported to include Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John C Reilly, Tom Wilkinson, Toby Kebell, Brie Larson, Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell.
