Eagle eyed fans have spotted an upcoming addition to Bandai's SH Monsterarts line! Godzilla, from Takashi Yamazaki's Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle has a prototype at the 2025 Godzilla Festival. Take a look!
The design was used as the basis for the Award Winning Godzilla Minus One, also directed by Yamazaki.
Director Yamazaki’s first Godzilla attraction project, Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle, opened in Seibuen Amusement Park, Japan, in May, 2021.
Director Takashi Yamazaki had this to say about the project:
I’m thrilled to return to Godzilla’s world from the passenger seat. What powerful foes will emerge? Where will this ride take us next? As a ride enthusiast myself, I can’t wait for my first spin—and I’m working day and night with our team to make this the most terrifying ride in the world.
Since then a follow-up to the ride called Godzilla the Ride: Great Clash, featuring MechaGodzilla has been released at the Seibuen Amusement Park as well. No official word on when the new figure is expected to be released. Stay tuned.
