As for The Gman, that what I mentioned a minute ago. I had always thought that it could be both, I mean lets face it and upright Ghidorah, while unique, is not natural at all. So being able to do both gives us a good mix of being natural and classic at the same time.

Also, to Huge-Ben, I'm merely presenting my personal take on what Legendary Godzilla's atomic breath is, based on the evidence presented within MonsterVerse products, analyses of its properties by people far more versed in physics than myself, and a compilation of those two and more to form a coherent explanation.

As for TheTruthIsOutThere, that's what I had speculated in the first place. A wyvern design yet it can stand up, giving us the classic look and the natural look at the same time.
I said that because you've started trouble each time. We've been having fun speculating and messing around, then you come in and start saying he's a liar and we're stupid for believing him. Funny they don't mention in the 2014 film it is plasma. Funny that the official novelization was written by someone else and not Max Borenstein. Funny that all other Godzilla's except 1999 (2000) don't have plasma in their blood or generics.

Well, that's what it is. The novelization supports it, it described as a blue flame supports it, and analysis of the visual representation of it, in the prequel comic AND the movie, supports this interpretation.
A stream of pure radiation would've caused massive radiation sickness to those soldiers viewing the usage of the atomic breath on the female Hokmuto, not to mention feeding her. This interpretation also goes neatly with the novelization's expansion of the purpose of the Hokmutos' E.M.P. ability, since plasma requires electricity to be created in artificial ion torches.
As well, a plasma torch weapon would be exactly the kind of thing that could result in a beam struggle against the plasma-producing lightning of King Ghidorah. Plasma is really the only thing that could accurately replicate the effects of the classic atomic breath: extremely high heat, intense blue and white colouration, susceptibility to electromagnetic interference, and a decent amount of raw kinetic energy that can actually push things at high enough plasma densities.
If TheTruthIsOutThere gets this date right and they do have a Godzilla King Of The Monsters trailer that day, then everything said will hold a ton more weight to it
