This looks amazing. Nice job.
I'm glad a lot of sequels these days drop number in favor of more interesting titles. The "II" here is tacky.
King Kong was one of the only things I thought Jordan got almost completely right in Skull Island. Hope the new director can tell a better story with Kong.
Mysticlore,
You do know that's a complete myth.
Godzilla 3 : defeat of kong!
Godzilla 3 : defeat of kong!
Good point, KaijuWorld.
And lol Danzilla, I like that title hahaha
Godzilla 3: The Kongening
well, it wouldn't be a Godzilla movie if it didn't have multiple titles across the world.
I would call it Godzilla 3: Battle of the Kings.
Godzilla 3: Godzilla vs Kong, Ultimate Giant Monster Brawl but the fans will just call it GVK
I think they should do what the original had planned on doing. In the U.S and Europeans areas, Kong wins. but in Asia and Japan, Godzilla wins. And then never say which ending is the true ending unless they get the green light to do more Monsterverse films. That way everyone will be happy.
An even fight. That is how it should be.
Godzilla doesn't have to kill Kong, but Godzilla better not lose this damn fight or I will hate Legendary regardless of how much good will they might get from me if Godzilla 2 King of the Monsters is as amazing as it looks.
Godzilla wins! I won't believe in his defeat in 64 or 2020. Still this article has me a bit scared, and after Rampage... PLEASE LEGENDARY GO GODZILLA I'M BEGGING YOU!
If Legendary does try to renew the contract, I'm sure at this point that Toho would make them remove that stipulation. They're probably completely committed to that "World of Godzilla" already. Toho might also want to get more involved in the production and in turn earn a greater share of the profits. Whatever happens, they'll have to find a way to sweeten the pot for Toho to consider extending the deal.
Dude this is awesome!! Godzilla movies are at their best when you can FEEL the massive scale, and you nailed it here!
Depends on how much money Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong makes. If Legendary thinks its viable to renew the rights, they'll probably try to negotiate a new deal with Toho.
Either way though it's going to be hard to convince Toho--Seems they're pretty miffed they can't make a live action film right now.
Howdy, folks!
Its been a while since I updated this page, but rest assured, things have been progressing in these last few months!
A few highlights:
- Godzilla vs. Hedorah now has four chapters!
- Godzilla vs. Gigan has begun!
- I've launched the Timeline part of the project (see above or click link for details)!
- I've made connections in the Godzilla community pertaining to research, press, and merchandise production for the project!
- PRESS! I was interviewed on KaijuVision Radio last month (a link to the episode will be posted when it's released), and I'll have an article on the project in this month's issue of Prehistoric Times Magazine!
More new stuff is coming soon, so stay tuned!
All and all I l I've his design all they have to do is to retcon and remove the gills.
Diggin' the skyrim death noises in the mothra one, bruh.
I would not be surprised if Ghidorah is planet-sized at this point. I just want to see how they'll handle him and capitalize on the "Planet Eater" aspect.
biggest fan of this Godzilla
The 3rd better be better in than the second . Godzilla didn't even fight a real mechagodzilla. And he probably got like 3 minutes of screen time in the entire thing !
I think your right
They totally did a good job on the trailer but the Godzilla neck back muscles looked kind of weird on that final roar on the trailer . Just my opinion
Loved loved loved the trailer! I personally thought that the change in dorsal fins was pointless but they looked cool so I'll give it a pass.
The dorsal fins are a massive improvement. Hopefully they improved the feet too...
I'm the same. I'm super excited for the film, and I've watched the trailer more times than I can count, picking it apart as much as possible. I wish we could've seen more of Mothra, personally, but we should more of her soon.
As far as Godzilla goes, I was a little uneasy with how chunky they made him, but seeing him in action it really made sense to give his gigantic body a bit of weight distribution for posterity sake. A lot of though was put into his design, and I appreciate it.
I loved the trailer personally and I have watched it 40+ times. I think they did a great job in showing us enough of the monsters to get a general idea of how they are gonna look without showing the full monster. ghidorah is the one we saw the least, but then again he is the most anticipated so it makes sense to hide him to build hype.
I don't have a problem with the dorsal plates, but that's just my opinion though.
@KingKaijuGojira - given what this series has brought us already with a 300 meter tall Godzilla... I'm guessing a 550 meter tall Ghidorah. I like a big Godzilla... but even I think 300 meters is too big.
4oo to 600 feet tall to me is acceptable. Anything bigger... is just an upstage to anything Hollywood does. In my opinion.
Cool. I wonder what King Ghidorah will look like and how big he'll be?
I really like the second installment, killing off Jr in the first one pissed me off but I say he just was pushed in the ground and grew back into Godzilla Earth. Hope we get more than 5min of Godzilla this time in round 3 and lots of destruction. Was super stoked to see him trash MG city. Love a invincible Godzilla and it was nice to get a city smashed in the future. Godzilla needs to smoke cities in every Godzilla movie. Hope Godzilla and King Ghidorah survive this last installment. Beautiful religious overtones as Kaiju are revered as Gods.
