As Ken Wantanbe would say, “Beautiful”
Come one. Godzilla would have to win. Everyone else in my family is rooting for Kong. But the Big G will prevail and light his furry little butt on fire
It's looking better this weekend. The two films which would give it major competition have reviews worse than KOTM, so people are more likely to see it instead of the trash that is coming out.
If all of those other TOHO kaiju are in the film, this movie will be spectacular! I doubt it though.
And yeah, I agree with your points.
Thanks Jack.D
I already picked a couple up, and don't really want to spend a bunch of money again, but next time I am looking to purchase some Godzilla films, I'll definitely consider these.
CarnoRex15 me too, I hope some of the other monsters make a return in GvK, like Scylla, Behemoth, Mothra, and Rodan.
I also really want to see more of the 17 other kaiju, like Leviathan (which is probably similar to The Loch Ness Monster) and others.
Yeah, it isn't really fair to consider the anime version. It is way too op.
If i did a list like that, and included anime KG, it would go
Anime>Legendary>Keizer>DesGhidorah>Grand King Ghidorah>Showa>Heisei
Yeah, I feel like Legendary Godzilla could handle any of the other Ghidorahs mentioned, except obviously anime Ghidorah. Anime Ghidorah would destroy any of the incarnations.
my list is probably (all of the mosterverse with godzilla 2 when it will be released at disc), gdz vs mothra, vs destoroyah, GMK, 1954 original and that's it... the others are not bad but they are definitely not at the same level
1)Godzilla, because, yea those titans are incredible, but i still prefer Godz
2) both will survive, we need them for the futur of the monsterverse
3)i expect that first, they will fight each other and finally team up with mothra against other titans ( i've heard that anguirus, gamera, gigan and destoroyah will be in )
For me the anime version wasn't showed enough for counting it in, so My top is legendary>keiser>grand KG>heisei>showa
...yea i really liked the monsterverse version...
i will give all my money to this movie
One outlier does not a power level make, after all.
Ghidorah here is still one of the strongest film incarnations to date, being right up there with the likes of Keizer and Heisei King Ghidorah.
If this is real, I just hope they're in their Monsterverse designs.

Thank you, I thought long and hard about the wording to get that exact reaction. Yes, though less a serious defense than a chance to frame the idea as humorously as possible.
Hitting small moving objects with projectiles is tough though, and unfortunately for Ghidorah it was the third act, which is when writers traditionally forget how capable the villain is in order for the underdog to pull off a crazy victory. I'll stop now.
I just hope we see something about Mothra or Rodan.
We need Legendary Keizer Ghidorah!
Maybe in film after GvK. Aliens attack Earth with Gigan and new upgraded King Ghidorah - Keizer Ghidorah!
Anime>Keizer>Grand king ghidorah>legendary>heisei>showa
Assuming they are all kept to scale and not set on even size playing fields.
Anime Ghidorah is almost too overpowered for it to be fair to include him in stuff like this haha.
And I saw that somebody commented here, and I am bored, so I clicked and responded. lol.
I don't think the Legendary Ghidorah is really any more powerful than say, Heisei or Grand King Ghidorah. I'd still give it to Keizer Ghidorah in a heartbeat.
The only King Ghidorah that would topple Keizer Ghidorah is the anime King Ghidorah.
Also, why did a six year old thread get revived?
Unless you consider Legendary Ghidorah. Zydeco DagenHeart
(SPOILERS) Legendary Ghidorah has regenerative abilities, survived the oxygen destroyer, can harness electricity to make his powers stronger, brings a hurricane with him wherever he goes, and it literally took Fire Godzilla disintegrating him with Nuclear Pulses to beat.
Legendary Ghidorah could beat Keizer Ghidorah.
But if you are only talking about older ghidorahs, then Keizer would for sure win.
True, G. H. (Gman)
The best thing about KOTM to me was..well everything. The music, bringing back the old Godzilla theme, gave me so many chills. The movie was a dream come true for me and my dad. Best fighting/action seen in a Godzilla to date. My favorite scene that gave me the most chills was when Ghidorah was destroying Boston, and Godzilla appeared from the ocean with humanity’s hell behind him, shooting at Ghidorah and Godzilla roaring, then zooming into Millie’s face to show her smiling. Gives me chills just writing about it lol. Probably my favorite Godzilla movie of all time I’d say, right behind the first 1954 one!
Keizer Ghidora for sure no doubt would win.
Godzilla will win this, unless they will revive ghidorah
The monster I want to win is the one that makes the most narrative sense. So whichever winner makes the movie stronger, more dramatic and suspenseful is my pick--Impossible to know at the moment.
Yeah Macumbalove, I see this as the most likely possibilty.
and yeah, I have seen it 4 times, and it gets better each time. I was pretty conflicted after my first viewing, but now it is in the top 3 Godzilla films for me.
Yeah, there is just too much competition this time of year for it to do good at the box office, WB and Legendary need to be smarter about when they release the movies.
Just a reminder, Toho's investments in LA don't just include Godzilla, but other properties. Your name. is getting a live action, Hollywood remake. Toho also holds all distribution rights for Pokemon films. (Similar to how Fox holds distribution rights for Dragon Ball films.) The list goes on.
"Also, you ever tried killing an ant by throwing pencils at it? Now multiply that by three and a wing suit and tell me how well that goes."
What an absolutely bizarre, unrelatable and oddly disconnected comparison... I assume this is meant as a defense for King Ghidorah shooting like a stormtrooper?
*One unexpected mental image later*
I'd still lean towards no. Titan biology is different absolutely, but if they're from an older world where thy once had many members of their species it wouldn't make much biological sense to be able to crossbreed. In this case you'd either get hybrids or completely separate baby kongs and behemoths, neither of which feels like a satisfying result. Plus, if it could be the case for these two Titans, why not the rest? That opens up a whole can of inter-species worms I don't want to think about. Makes you rethink all those jokes they made about that exact idea in the movie, doesn't it?
@G. H. (Gman)
I'm sure that's just a reference to how bad he's always been at aiming for things.
Also, you ever tried killing an ant by throwing pencils at it? Now multiply that by three and a wing suit and tell me how well that goes. :P
Okay, that got a laugh out of me.
And J. Robert and JHT are right. Still funny though.
Hadn't thought of that, I am really out of touch with how this stuff works. I guess if you don't absolutely need a matching set than go with Neca, but if you're not sure than preorder them. You could always resell them if you're not 100% happy, I'd be willing to bet there'll be plenty of people looking for the pair if they do end up being limited stock like you say.
I would give it a 9/10 it Harkins back to the original themes while updating them for the movie, modernizing for more recent generations, and capable of setting the mood for the scene very well
@SaibaShinrei
Yep, that's epic, I'm on board.
I want Godzilla to win; But I certainly don't want him to kill Kong. then after the fight the creature they team up against (trust me they will) attacks Kong and almost kills him before Godzilla intervenes. Then Kong gains his strength and they both eventually destroy the bigger threat. With their differences settled, They both part ways as equal protectors of earth. FYI I just saw KOTM again tonight and it was surprisingly a lot better during my second viewing. It's just a crying shame it's not doing better as far as the BO goes.
My favourite part was definitely the climax scene with all the Titans bowing to the King ( my favourite Titan of the Monsterverse). It was the perfect summation. Of what we had just seen. It was what 7 year old me wanted from the 1998 Godzilla, instead of witnessing Zilla's death and crying into my dad's arm. Godzilla reigns, and will continue to. That last shot had a tremendous impact and demonstrated the scale of it all. That, and the amazing drums that accompanied Rodan's Rampage. Bear did good.
