Anime Ghidorah.

I actually watched the 3rd Rebirth of Mothra film.

Grand King Ghidorah didn't come off all that impressive, nor did Armour Mothra really. No good destruction feats, no good feats against each other or other comparable monsters, nothing.

Limitations of the medium at the time and not going all the way like Final Wars did.

Then can we go over why Grand kind Ghidorah who fought Mothra Leo, one of the most OP kaiju ever, to his final form is lower than Legendary? I don't find a lot of the arguments about legendary being stronger that Keizer all that compelling looking at what Final Wars Godzilla was capable of and still lost to in a 1v1 but I haven't really seen 1 thing that says why he's better than Grand King Ghidorah that has all his powers and then some.

I’m scared they are going to change it to make the critics and general audience happy. While that would be a smart move money wise, I hope they won’t take away what made the fans love the monsterverse. 

I think many Godzilla fans underestimate Kong. I don’t think you guys really understand that even Godzilla has limits. That being said, I don’t mind if Kong wins as long as the writing makes it believable and not just given on a silver platter. I also don’t mind Godzilla winning as long as the writers don’t make it one sided. 

This is a bad move if it happens. Higher ups getting involved and moving out of March is all bad news. When stuff like this happens is when you get movies like Justice League, Alien 3 and The Predator.

I actually like the Rodan design.  They could reuse it for another flying titan if they change a few things. But that Ghidorah is just  uncomfortable.

Forgot to mention the theme of sacrifice in Rodan.

I watch it last night and it was amazing. By far, it's the best Godzilla movie and probably the best Monster universe movie of all time. Go to the closest cinema of your home and you won't waste your money. The visual effects are from other world, they are spectacular.

Any studio should want their movies to be released around less competition. That's just how it works, they made a mistake with KOTM. A movie will make more money the less competition it has, that tells you nothing about the monterverse but that they are taking it more seriously.

I've seen it done by a lot of Godzilla YouTubers as well. They just don't include him because he's radically different.

re shoots happen all the time, So I'm not really worried about that. Monsterverse films constantly having to run from the competition should tell you something.

Kong: Problem is, how does one define "better"? Studio messing with films often don't have a good outcome. 

This is what I love about these movies, they are all so much deeper than just big monster fights!

I love how people are conveniently not including the anime King Ghidorah because how dare it interfere with putting their favorite Ghidorah in first.

Re-shoots are not a good sign. Yeah, there are cases when it has made a movie better. But in many cases the result is worse. Sounds like the studio is panicking and demanding changes to the movie. But studio interference has a long history of making a movie even more terrible. 

Part 1

  What I loved about Godzilla:KOTM was that spoiler alert was how much history of the Japanese godzilla franchise it had. It had the original Godzilla theme song and in some parts the 1962 roar and this time they used the oxygen destroyer. And it also had the original mothra song (without vocals) and like the first king ghidorah it was an alien and like the first rodan it came from a volcano. But mothra was still a good monster but didn't have fairies. It had lots of plot twists. Now burning godzilla sent out a nuclear pulse and it melted/destroyed anything including king ghidorah. However meltdown for him never happened he just went back to normal unlike the Godzilla in Godzilla vs. Destroyra (1995) were he did meltdown.

Part 2

  So my favorite titan is Godzilla the true king of the monsters because he kicks butt. He always wins *except sometimes. Heck he even has a whole street named after him. He has his own street, museum, store, hotel, studios, and more. That is why he is my favorite Titan.

I'd want more classic monsters

Why??? I hate the sound of this so much... Hopefully these reshoots don't turn out bad like they do for almoest every other movie. If they push it back they need to release in in the august-october time frame when not much else big comes out.

I like your storyline.  There's other Alpha Villains Dougherty can choose from. Mega Godzilla, Gigan, Biollante, Mecha-King Ghidorah, but I think the most dangerous one of the bunch would have to be Destoroyah Or Destroyah, however you spell it! Lol I’ve seen it spelled both ways. As for your battle scene, I like the concept. Of course Kong won’t be the one killed because we all know that the blonde bitch took him down! Lol Logic states that Godzilla would be the one that falls, but I can’t see that happening either! I too would be pissed! Dougherty if you read this, let them fight, but let it be either a draw, or let the military drop a sleeping gas bomb of some kind to put them to sleep before they kill themselves! They both are then transported to their so called place of residency. Then the Alpha villain makes his appearance and your storyline can continue. Anyhoo that’s my added thoughts. Long live the King…and it’s not Kong!

I agree with the trend here. I truly believe Legendary Ghidorah is the "King" of all Ghidorah incarnations if you don't include anime Ghidorah(which let's face it could likely kill Destoroyah, Hedorah, all incarnations of Mecha-Godzilla AND Legendary Ghidorah all at the same time in less than a few minutes). I'm not a huge fan of the anime but facts are facts. Anime Ghidorah is pretty much the top dog of any Toho kaiju ever conceived. He'd even punk out the mythical and legendary "Bagan"!. So I won't include him. While some may argue that Kaiser Ghidorah is the best, I would argue that Legendary basically had almost all his abilities, (and most other Ghidorah's abilities as well minus the literal anti gravity effect of Kaiser's Gravity Beams) effing Shrugged off...I repeat...SHRUGGED OFF the Oxygen Destroyer, regrew his missing  head in mere seconds (RIGHT AFTER tanking the O2 Destroyer mind you) And it basically took 2 BURNING GODZILLA nuclear pulses to finally end him. Even then, we see his final head was still alive before G disintegrates it. That tells me this KG has regen capabilities that dwarf all previous incarnations. Only Toho kaiju I could even compare this to would be GMK Godzilla who's regen was BEYOND OP. If you don't include anime Ghidorah, Legendary Ghidorah (IMHO before anyone get's their feathers ruffled) is pretty much an amalgamation King Ghidorah. Dougherty took all the best traits from previous Ghidorahs and put them into one. With that said, I STILL say the two most powerful kaiju EVER (and I speak strictly as fighting Godzilla 1v1 with no human or outside help) are Hedorah and Destoroyah. I know that in itself will be considered BLASPHEMY by many fans and again it's just my opinion but agree or not, I think ALL die-hard G fans can at least agree that they could understand WHY I consider them the top. So here is my Top in order as far as G's top 5 toughest opponents. Destoroyah(argue all you want about how the JSDF killed him. I don't care if BOZO THE CLOWN killed him. Godzilla in his STRONGEST FORM could not kill him and he tanked spiral beam after spiral beam. A shot that was the swan song for even Space Godzilla. Yes it badly injured him but it did not kill him. I'll make it short and sweet for Hedorah. Basically, Godzilla had no answer to him. Love the movie or hate it, Godzilla could do NOTHING to stop the Smog Monster. His Atomic breath was useless against him, his blood was sulfuric acid, Godzilla could not kill Hedorah and without human intervention, the best he would have ever gotten was a stale mate...meanwhile as Hedorah continued feeding on pollution and uniting with other Hedorahs until eventually, he'd be so big, Godzilla couldn't even fight him to a stalemate. I've already mentioned the reasons for legendary KG and everyone knows the reasons for Kaiser and Mecha-Godzilla. So I say Destoroyah > Hedorah > Legendary King Ghidorah > Mecha-Godzilla (any interation really but mostly Heisei as much as i despise him)>Kaiser Ghidorah.  I know many will strongly disagree and that's fine. It's MY opinion. So my final thoughts are basically, Legendary King Ghidorah is right up there with Godzilla's toughest opponents and I stand by that.

It was 1985 and I had just barely turned 5 years old. My family had ran the "Monsanto Rec. Club (swimming) Pool" since 79',  year before I was born as my Gpa was the night Superintendent over the local (then still) Monsanto plant in Alvin, TX. After the 79' flood receded, my family cleaned up and took over running the pool facility every summer until 2002 when the rec club (by now the plant was "Solutia" with Monsanto being long gone from the area) but I digress. My brother (who was but 3 1/2) and I were out at that pool every day with various family members who did everything from running the concession stand to lifeguarding to keeping the local wild life that would wander up from Chocolate Bayou (that was just meters away) out of the area. The radio was constantly on and I even remember the main station "Power 104" I remember hearing about Godzilla 1985 all summer from the ads between songs and it had an effect on me. By the end of the Summer, Godzilla 1985 was now a new release on VHS. My aunt invited my brother and for a sleep over at her place and asked what movie we wanted her to get. We almost in unison said "Godzilla 1985" (those radio ads apparently did their job!) I remember it had just been released on VHS to rent(back then the rental places got it weeks before you could buy it...at least here anyway) and she told us she got the last copy. They were out but a guy turned it in right before she was about to choose another movie (Lady and The Tramp...God how to I remember this?!) So we all watched Godzilla lay waste to Tokyo. My jaw hit the floor several times and I was just totally fascinated by Godzilla. I mean he was pretty much the "bad guy" in this movie but I didn't care. It started my love for the big G that has only strengthened over time. They can keep their "Superman's, Spiderman's, Batman's" and "X-MAN'S" while I still liked them, they couldn't polish G's boots in my eyes. He was my hero. I liked them all but the brooding and dark misunderstood Godzilla who eventually became somewhat of an "anti-hero"(Of course I'm referring to Heisei) was my favorite. I saw and got as much Godzilla as I could after that but it was all Showa (other than 1985 which later became Return Of Godzilla when the original Japanese English dubbed version was released in the states). I had thought for many years that Heisei Godzilla had only one movie that he had burned alive  until one day I was at a Sam Goody in the mall one early Fall day in 1994 and saw Godzilla VS. Biollante for sale on VHS. I had never even heard of this movie as internet was just now at that time starting to become a "thing". I bought it and when I saw what it actually was....I was so happy I almost had tears in my eyes. I had cried seeing Godzilla die in Mt. Mihara MANY times...his screams of terror and pain as he was(what I had assumed) being burned alive. My first G movie that still 9 years later, had a profound effect over me. Even at 14 years old, it still brought me to tears seeing Godzilla die in that volcano. Now here was a movie I had no idea existed and I see that same (yes the design was different but still) Godzilla ALIVE and EMERGING from Mt. Mihara! My love for Godzilla had never died but it had waned as I got older...this Movie revitalized my love for G and my obsession started all over again. I ended up getting Godzilla VS. King Ghidorah a few years later, followed by all that followed. I am a die-hard G fan and I will remain a die-hard G fan until I die. Long live  THE  ****ing KING!

When i saw this movie, it was just mind blowing in so many areas, the Family for one thing, the twist with the mother and daughter, and i really did feel like they were trying for the old movie styles too which was awesome and loved how they kept to King Ghidorah was a space monster not of earth. As for my Favorite Monster its Godzilla all the way, how hes such a force of nature and you cant do a dam thing against him.  

When i saw this movie, it was just mind blowing in so many areas, the Family for one thing, the twist with the mother and daughter, and i really did feel like they were trying for the old movie styles too which was awesome and loved how they kept to King Ghidorah was a space monster not of earth.

If this does happen, I wanna see more new titans, and some other non Toho creature appear, like the Rhedosaurus or Yongary.
