I don't mind humor as long as it works. The problem with the "humor" in King of the Monsters was that it was all horribly cringey--Some of the worst "jokes" and one liners I've heard put to film in decades.

Just a quick thought on GvsK, There are tiny morsels of info coming out about Eiza Gonzales and Alex Skarsgard's characters. What concerns me is in both articles they mention levity (humor). I also see that Eric Pearson, who wrote Thor ragnarok co-wrote the screenplay. I hate the MCU and that one in particular. I really hope this movie isn't filled with Marvel-esque jokes and stupid dialogue.

But they also made a Godzilla Earth statue and a Shin Godzilla statue for the marketing of those respective movies as well. So why does that matter?

The 2016 design is Toho's flagship design. They've used it for the VR ride at Universal Studios, the Godzilla vs. Evangelion 4D movie, they replaced the Heisei Godzilla statue with it in Hibiya, they use it for the official 65th Anniversary logo and they've used it on 3 different posters to promote the Godzilla Store. Why is it surprising that they put more stock into it than the 2019 design, which was far less successful in Japan than both Godzilla '14 and Shin Godzilla?

Wondering or complaining about the Japanese using their Japanese design is kind of goofy. People should be used to it by now.

Well, the reason everyone wants Mechaghidorah is because of the Alan Jonah scene. Everyone wants Mechagodzilla because of that Monarch thing. He meant Mechaghidorah as in one of the other options people have, which are few based on the current evidence. The real only possibilities are Mechaghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Moguera, Gigan, Mechanikong, a new mech, regenerated Ghidorah, and a new hybrid with Ghidorah's DNA, the real only options being Mechaghidorah, Mechagodzilla, new mech, regenerated Ghidorah.

I'm not being a know-it all, i'm just pointing out something you should know already. If you didn't know before, then now you know. I apologize if I offended you in any way.

But who's to say the weakest kaiju isn't something else? That's more of an opinion than fact. And there are plenty of film databases and libraries that list the 1954 original as science fiction as well.

Why would it make sense for the less popular incarnation in Japan to be made into an attraction?
