@ErimakiAnguirus
I wonder why you think so.
Yeah, I had an idea. Maybe because Godzilla recognizes it as another titan, it has to look like one? I dunno that sounded better in my head
@Xeno
I mean, South America and North America are both called America. So why isn’t America both of them. And they’re called the americas. Basically my point was the calling citizens of the USA Americans wrong.
@Gman,
Yes all the movies are worth watching, but my reccomendations in my opinion are the ones you should be required to watch.
jeez man!
Tokyo S.O.S. is not a hidden gem. Its straight garbage.
Godzilla (MonsterVerse)
King Ghidorah (GMK)
Mechagodzilla (MonsterVerse
Rodan (Heisei)
Gigan (Final Wars)
Yeah. I really try not to. I watched one of Mechagodzilla fighting Godzilla. I really regret watching that.
I was probably 10 or 11 when I became a Godzilla fan. My dad took my brother and I to see Godzilla (2014) and I was blown away. I had never seen a Godzilla movie before and I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. So cool, that I had to check out the older movies to see what they were like. And here I am, in college, having seen every Godzilla movie and a lot of others as well (Gamera, King Kong, etc.).
sure i dont mind
i allready seen clips from the movie
Hello, I'm about to post something here which is a huge spoiler and probably gonna reveal a part from the movie. before I do, should I do it? cuz I don't want to cause trouble before I do it.
I liked Showa's reason for Mechagodzilla, but hated the design. I feel that Mechagodzilla should have been an alien design rather than a manmade one.
Didn't care for Heisei Mechagodzilla, I think the reason why the built it was partly from being inspired by Mecha-Ghidorah, its been six years since I last watched that movie so I could be wrong.
Kiryu has an awesome design but I find using the bones of a dead Godzilla to incorporate into your robot ridiculous, it would be like using a dead human skeleton to make a T-800 or the bones of a dead giant turtle for a car.
Canadians and mexicans aren't americans, they are north americans but not Americans, with capital A. Same with south and central americans.
Also Japan wouldn't have gotten nuked if they didn't side with Hitler and attack pearl harbor.
Sorry I've only seen the movie only once and I was going off of memory but I agree with you all 36 movies and in counting should be watched as well as all the auxiliary movies.
"Flash forward to the future, King Ghidorah is responsible for 1954 and the Godzillasaurus somehow still becomes Godzilla but this time BIGGER!? WHAT?!"
King Ghidorah was not responsible for 1954, the original events from 1954 happened. King Ghidorah remained dormant until 1992 when the Futarians activated him.
The Godzillasaurus was mutated into the Heisei Godzilla in the 1970s by a sunk Russian sub. He then attacked in 1984 and in Godzilla vs. Biollante. He grew to 100m after he absorbed Shindo's sub's modern nuclear energy in 1992.
In any case, my recommendation is all 36 movies. Watch them. Enjoy them. Learn about them. Understand why and how they were made. Soak in the entire history.
And that's the kicker. What is the justification going to be for building a mechanical Godzilla in GvK?
Showa MechaGodzilla and Kiryu had solid enough reasons. The Heisei MechaGodzilla was pointless. I'm curious where they're going with this.
monsterzero9,
It's been readily available on DVD from Sony since 2004 and they released a Blu-ray double feature of it with Godzilla: Final Wars in 2014. It's one of the more easily attainable Godzilla films in the west and Sony won't lose the license to it until 2023 at the very earliest.
I reviewed the film years ago for this site. I don't think it's exactly a great movie, but I do applaud it for being Tezuka's most mature effort yet. My review is on Substack:
Retrospect of the Last Era, Part 5: Godzilla Tokyo SOS
G theorist,
Reportedly a true sequel to the original film. Though I loved 10 Cloverfield Lane.
I was never a big fan of the showa and heisei mechagodzillas much, but I feel with a really good plausible explanation(like with kiryu) it can work out pretty good.
Most Reviews seem positive so that’s a good sign.
I’ve never liked MechaG that much, it just feels I dunno just doesn’t work that well.
I guess it’s kind of Ironic
Wow looking at older art, I see so many problems
naw its supposed to be like a full sequel to the original
its a hidden gem because its onley on,like 1 streaming service and has rarely been distributed in the USA.
but its still a really good movie.
All of them are loosely connected
Well.... Most showa-Heisei Godzilla movies are hidden gems(atleast among americans) but yeah, it was a good movie :)
Cloverfield sequel? Is it a direct sequel or a weird half connected movie.
are you stuck in 2011 mk?
ya warbats like, my new favorite kaiju
Oooooooh, another clip of warbat! Been wanting to see more.
There are some new ones, but the trailers feel super repetitive now.
Yes but the USA is not America. America is Also Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, and brazil and anything in North and South America
What makes it hidden? It’s just a gem.
booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
nothing new just old clips
fis commen
I'm pretty sure US is America, I'm from Texas, sir! Were not USAians, we are Americans.
