Godzilla vs Kong is about an ancestral rivalry between two god-like beings that branches back to an ancient war of Titans. The battle is reignited in modern times, as the "mortal" humans are caught in the middle, with some (APEX) attempting to disrupt the natural order by getting involved in the battle. 

All Monsters Attack is about a kid who dreams that he's hanging out with Minilla/Minya (who can talk for some reason) as they watch stock footage from other (and better) Godzilla films.

I'm not trying to disrespect your opinions, but I honestly don't see how All Monsters Attack is more compelling than the MonsterVerse movies...

godzilla vs destroyah is better than return of godzilla and godzilla vs biollante by FAR. so its the easily the best of the heisei series.

Dude that wasn't Tokyo, Kong and Godzilla were fighting in Hong Kong. I watched almost all the godzilla (and related kaiju) movies and Hong Kong and Tokyo look complete different

I really like the Queen MUTO because of her powerful sonic breath and the way she looks.

I never said all the Monsterverse Godzilla movies were bad.

But, yes, All Monsters Attack is an infinitely more compelling and more deeply rooted story about the Japanese people during a very difficult point in time.

Godzilla vs. Kong is about... a monkey and a lizard slapping each other.

The Return of Godzilla and Godzilla vs. Biollante are probably the best of the Heisei era. The former has some pretty thin characters, but the atmospheric tone is unique to the series. Additionally, Keiju Kobayashi as Prime Minister Mitamura is absolutely incredible.

Biollante, for all intents and purposes, shouldn't be as good as it is. But the characters are engaging, the effects are top notch and the ideas of how the world reacts to Godzilla's biological application is fascinating.

The Shin Godzilla is just on a whole different level. It's a very dense, dark satire on the Fukushima disaster from 2011, the issues with Japanese emergency policy and a commentary on constitutional restrictions the country has had to endure. Godzilla plays the part of both a natural disaster and an uncertain, foreign threat, which leaves the characters confused over how to react to him while adhering to strict rules. It's a movie deeply rooted in recent Japanese issues and topics. (As it should be.)

I'd recommend picking them up and finding out.

The Showa Gamera movies aren't particularly great, but I think re-evaluation over the years has helped myself and others appreciate them a lot more. If for nothing else, they're interesting movies to watch in order to see what the Showa Godzilla's competition was at the time.

The Heisei Gamera Trilogy is a masterpiece. Some of the greatest kaiju films of all time and they put most of the Heisei, Millennium, Reiwa and Monsterverse Godzilla flicks to shame. To this day, I'm still waiting for a kaiju / giant monster movie as good as Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris. For many, it's the greatest kaiju film since the original 1954 Godzilla. I can't be positive if I agree with that, but I certainly don't disagree! The movie is incredible.

Oh yes Behemoth was really cool, hope he or she gets their own MonsterVerse movie

Sincerely, I can't see Gorosaurus as a villain, I think it would be cool to see Gorosaurus trying to fighting vs Kong but losing, and in the end bowing to him as his true king and turning into an important Kong allie

I always wanted to see kaiju based on cenozoic mammals, so Behemoth's design being based on a mammoth and ground sloth definitely made me happy. 

Good enough reason for me.

Godzilla vs Biollante and Godzilla 84' are great, Shin Godzilla's good (although I think that it's a little over rated). You should definitely check them out, they're worth a watch.

I'm always up for Mutos. Mostly Hokmuto cause he can fly and he looks like a jet, and I think that's cool. Also Warbats look pretty sweet.

I haven't seen Godzilla vs Biollante, Godzilla 1984(?) and Shin Godzilla, but I own all the rest.

That teaser clip was just a teaser, we could still see Vishnu, or a Titan of his species debut in a later film.

Godzilla against Mechagodzilla is a good film.

Insect type creatures make for great giant monsters, since they already have an otherworldly appearance, you can do a bit more with them, creatively speaking than you can, let's say, a Gorilla. I'm still waiting to see Vishnu make its feature film debut...

Honestly, if the MonsterVerse contines (hopefully it will), I really want to see movies set in ancient/prehistoric times possibly dealing with the Titan War or an origin for how Ghidorah came to Earth. Personally, I think that would be somewhat more interesting then just having Godzilla fight a monster in a modern city over and over again, and would help build up the timeline and mythology of this universe.
