Actually, the roar is just a modified version of the original which is a rubber glove being dragged across a broken bass string. It was changed with computer modifications like the zilla roar (which is a modification of the 1993 Godzilla roar as explained above). I like the roar too, the movie comes out 8 days before I graduate to sophomore year!

@"godzilla_himself" i thought that if it was a cartoon made in america it would stink because godzilla movies had blood in it and i want to see epic monster fights

I'm liking the new Godzilla roar, however I'm a fan of the classics, they are just fun and the original sounded like a dragon. Pretty sure the sound of the roar is a mixture of several sounds like for example a lions roar, a bear, a jet engine, a creeky door, a rocking chair, a trash compactor, etc etc... mixed with chorus, distortion and echo... all thrown into a metal box. :D Is there an actual recipe for Godzilla's roar? If so, I'd love to know what they combine to make it!

I read that a nuclear bomb can set off an EMP, so maybe it was caused by a nuke.

to me godzilla 2014 sounds cute

It would be fine as long as the anime stays away from jokes constantly and has a dark and lurking evil sense of tone. Also I want some blood and gore!

The only roar of Godzilla that scares me is the '84 Godzilla roar. I was listening to it during finals, and I literally jumped and everyone turned towards me.

I was just watching that video a couple of seconds ago.

i want a video game so bad, the last and only godzilla game i played was godzilla destroy all monsters on the xbox and ive been waiting for a new godzilla game. also have you heard that there is a kickstarter called kaiju combat, the creatures of destroy all monsters are making it.

The movie looks like it will be very scary and serious, so I don't think they will make room for this cute little guy. I could be wrong though.  :)

@KING GODZILLA24.7; Sorta, but I hear a lot of that metallic creaking sound, I can't describe it any other way some Godzilla have it and some dont. I find it very frightening.

Tickled that we're discussing buildings that I walk amongst all week long. I work a block away from both the TA and BofA skyscrapers! Sometimes I'll go to the 20th fl of our building and take in the view like I'm in a jaeger.

i think it would work better as an anime because it would be less limited compared to a cartoon. i wouldnt mind a cartoon but i just want to watch something more mature like the movie itself.

why would it have to be anime? i do belive that a godzilla anime could maybe,maybe,maybe, be good, but why can't it just be a normal cartoon? it would be just as good if not better. you know without all the uneccesary noises and at least 90% if not all of the men looking like girls. this is just my opinion, i don't mean any offense to anime fans.

It's funny you mention this because I was just thinking the 'Godzilla 2000' roar sounds very much like the 2014 one, with the strange almost metallic creaking at the end. New to Godzilla, and this is simply an observation I made while bowsing. Side note, Mothra and the twin fairies seem pretty awesome. :)

Asexual means "reproduction without sex". It does NOT mean Zilla isn't a she. On the contrary, it means Zilla is a she. Female Whiptail Lizards asexually reproduce if males aren't around. Essentially the young produced in this way are clones of the mother. The only problem with this is if the mother had a genetic defect, then all of the young would share this defect.
