It appears they are! :) A lot sooner than expected! Time will tell however if they secure rights to new Toho monsters though... and reason they might be floating the idea of Son of Kong right now is due to the fact they haven't resecured rights to Godzilla yet. Honestly I'm not a huge fan of the next movie being about Kong's son... I can see that fizzling the hype out a little. In order to top GvK they would need to bring in some new players.

Bryan Cranston's Joe Brody for me will always be the most relatable and memorable character of the Monsterverse. Hands down - best performance of the series. Hard to debate that one.

Understood--I usually put it on my TV regardless. But I'll be rewatching it on Netflix as well anyway. I'm curious about the English dub actors and how they're going to translate some of these words.
I’m excited, I haven’t watched them because it feels wrong to watch it on a website. I thought it was illegal.
No spoilers, but episode 4 is a stark reminder that the lead writer of Godzilla Singular Point has a PhD in physics and it shows.
I'm going to need to rewatch episode 4 another 7 times just to catch up on some of these ideas, because they go into some pretty heavy science/sci-fi material dealing with objects in different dimensional spaces, temporal inequality, sound waves, etc. I'm no fan of scientific accuracy, but the show is going hard and I love it keeps you on your toes.

Agreed with SarcasticGoji in that the effort in characters for GvK was borderline nonexistent. I would definitely say 2014 was much more generous "try". For as short lived as Joe Brody was, he was easily the Monsterverse's most impassioned and relatable character.
In due respect I think GvK was the film that didn’t try with the characters. KOTM had some interesting arcs that could have been done better.
Was Madison flat out bad? No, she was great (in KOTM) then went to mediocre in GVK (sadly)
But GVK gave a coherent story, great action and VFX, and there were human characters that could've been good. At least they tried this time...
Well, Imma watch The showa series more, I still need to finish some.
