Wow... What a great cover. Him roaring looks really different. Gives a sort of versatility to his design.
As we are now 'officially' getting the trailer tomorrow we'll get to see if the audio of the roar is a tease taken from the trailer, possibly justifying the strange engine noise mixed in with the roar. Will find out tomorrow!!

@INSTINCTIVEGIGAN I think you are going to be right, ive just got this hunch now, it just seems appropriate with everything revealed today following the roar and empire cover. Fingers crossed :)

@ JUNKERDE - I know, perhaps you should feel sorry for me. Lol.
Anyway, I admit my mistake, and again I'm not a morning person. BIGBY could very well be right in that perhaps it's either from a new trailer or from the movie and jets were wizzing by Godzilla's head. Since I haven't seen the visual to go along with the audio, I can't make a truly accurate analysis of the sound itself. I still think the elongated hiss is kind of strange, but oh well. That's just me.
It might be because I just don't like things that "hiss". It's a strange sound to hear and it just hurts my ears. I might have to bring specialized earplugs to keep things above a certain frequency out of my ears when I go to see the movie. Lol.
The marketing for this film has just exploded over the past few days as we have now a new poster, a rather revealing empire cover and now a big rumor for the trailer hitting tomorrow. If the trailer rumor is true, (and to a degree even not) what if the audio is from the very end of the new trailer? You hear the roar start and then a jet noise cuts in and then the roar in a way restarts. Maybe its a scene at the end of the trailer that we are hearing, of a shot of Godzilla and fighter plane or something. Also notice how the audio ends on that windy echo that the comic con trailer ended on and sound like the closure title point of the trailer.
I believe this is legit, legendary did tweet this themselves. Regardless still sounds cool.

An Empire cover, a roar and now trailer!!?? I seriously hope this is true. We've gone from tidbits and clutching on any little bit of info to this full whack marketing! AWESOME!
It almost sounds as though there's a 'musical' backdrop going on. Well not music per se, but an ascending cord to signify increasing tensity, if that makes sense...could this be a lift from the new trailer? Otherwise, this roar seems pretty long.

I saw the email from Legendary, and while it still sounds a bit strange to me, I retract my previous opinion. Again, I apologize for any problems it may have caused (short as it was). I'm not a morning person, so waking up and hearing this put my mind in a denial state.
I'd rather not believe this, just in case. It's a win-win situation, If the trailer doesn't come out tomorrow, then I won't be dissapointed. If it does get released, then It will be a great suprise :)

A little long, which I'm sure will vary in the film. The low rumble underneath the high pitched scream is dark and menacing. I love it! I also think the grumbling, gutteral ending is fantastic. It reverbates with power and massiveness. They did a great job hitting all the right tones.
I just pray to God(zilla) you are right! I am dying to see a few more clips.

I heard the new roar was made with the same technique as the original one.
The roar is a bit long but will probably not be entirely used in the film. It will most likely be shortened etc. to suit certain sequences
