Kinda gave me the chills, it's so creepy looking! Was it ever clearly confirmed/denied if this monster will be in the films? I know it was used in just a test footage teaser but it seems like some of the shots in that are making it into the film. I wonder if this creature will be too.

That has been around pretty much since the trailer got leaked in October.  Its nothing new.  Its intriguing, but I doubt the Energy beast or any of Marvel's monsters will be making ANY appearences in the future. :)

DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is a great poster!  The odd proportions are all about angles, and I actually prefer this Godzilla to the Empire version! :) He looks so freaking epic!!!!  I really want to find this poster.  Where/what is "fye" though?  Is it an achronym?  Could I find this now at, say... Walmart?

As far as this pic goes, Godzilla's mouth opening super wife would actually be realistic. Think about it, when he fires his beam he has to make sure his tongue and teeth don't get in the way/seared off so from a realism perspective it may look different than what we're used to but it makes sense! 

I thought Minilla was Godzilla's son and Godzuki was Godzilla's "couardly cousin"? But anyways, what does Godzilla have to worry about? He's an indestructible force of nature. Shenron doesn't have enough power to defeat him. He may resurrect Godzuki's friends but it won't matter.

That looks SICK!!! I wonder if that's to scale with the airport and planes near him since they said in the SDCC 13 footage when Godzilla stepped into view all you could see from inside the building were feet/some leg

This post has reassured me that there are Godzilla fan-girls.

But back on topic.  This picture is awesome!  Its probably not 100% film accurate, but the fact that it looks so much like the classic Godzilla Atomic Ray is comforting.  The jaw definitely looks like its unhinging, which not only validates the Atomic Roar figure, but looks really cool!  It reminds me of a snake that is trying to swallow something that is twice as large as its throat, but in reverse! :)

Dear God, am I the only one who doesn't complain about the Pipeworks games?!  I love Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla and the Rebirth of Mothra trlogy too.  I must be a bad fan.

@akagi. I love the new design too. Not my favorite, but head and shoulders above some of the other incarnations.

Pipeworks isn't the only one who is getting Godzilla's design wrong.

Practically EVERYONE is getting Godzilla's design wrong. Heck, I'm going to assume that the Empire cover isn't accurate. The only ones who seem to have gotten it right are NECA, Bandai and Jakks Pacific. (with their giant sized godzilla)

ComicBookMovie just made an article about this. I guess a lot of sites keep an eye on this site.

It reminds me a bear standing up over its rear limbs. That´s what my aunt told me about the Jakks Pacific figure: the body looks more like a bear than any TOho Godzilla. I suppose that was the porpouse of Gareth Edwards to make his fighting style a cross between a bear and a Komodo Dragon... but the lack of shoulders makes him to look  weird to me.

At least in my opinion, I still prefer the Heisei Desings over any other.

Don't wanna be a jerk here, but I'm going to assume it will probably look different in the movie. I highly doubt Pipeworks; Who was doing the animation for the game and is notorious for being innacurate as HELL at representing Godzilla characters in games, I.E. giving mothra a graboid mouth, making Megalon's pincers wiggle, having Mecah74's missiles bend, not having destroyah fly, giving Final Wars Gigan his neck brace, getting many beam colors wrong and many many more I don't feel like addressing at this moment-- have even seen anything beyond previsual effects of the film.

So lets not go assuming that this accurately displays any of Godzilla's animations or movements-- as I highly doubt hes going to be 'curb stomping' tanks in the film like he is in the game.

Either way, nice find, if the beam DOES look like that in the film, not bad. 

I'm a woman, and I kinda just like watching Godzilla kick ass and tear up the place. XD
