A nice design.  Shame that they used the "Zilla" design instead and didn't include the "Gryphon" enemy.  The history of the Godzilla franchise might've been very different otherwise....

If I'm lucky, I try to find some underground and expect to survive ... I always thought that seeing Godzilla in real life, it would be truly amazing, but once I had a nightmare with colossal monsters and was horrible!

I just see a scene inspired from Dark Knight Rises but with Godzilla's spines reflected on the glass... there's nothing more than that kid

From my view, I think Godzilla's torso and up is fine, but below looks a lot smaller. Like the legs and the tail, but in the end it is so FRICKIN SSSIIIICCCKKK.

It may just be me, but it honestly looks like he's *vomiting it up*. Look at how his arms are spread, and how his stance is. He's heaving. Maybe this isn't quite fully a beam weapon, but super-heated particulate from somewhere in his digestive system(or some other organ he might have unique to his species). The beam appearance would be the air and such around the particulate being super-heated, along with the possibility of it giving off cherenkov radiation. If he is 'vomiting' it up, there would be liquid in there with it, which is how you'd get the C-Radiation blue.

I believe the problem has to do with with his stance. He looks like he's standing up far straighter than he would *normally* do, as I said above, similar to a bear rearing up on its hind legs and threatening a rival. I know this Gojira isn't quadropedal(well, bears aren't entirely quadropeds either, but you know what I mean), but I do know that his stance(or rather, I *believe*, from all the promo footage and such) is much more hunched over. Not quite like a therapod, more like how someone with a damaged/malformed spine might walk, like myself or anyone else with varying levels of scoliosis. Again, not saying Godzilla is malformed, just using examples.

Yes, both iphone cases are unofficial.  It's easy to slap a picture on a case and sell it on amazon/ebay.

I too noticed that the American Godzilla's jaw unhinges before unleashing the Atomic Breath. For being a screenshot from the 2014 game this is great! Wonder how the Atomic Breath will look like on film.

My biggest question is how destructive will the Atomic Breath be? It has changed/varied over the years. The 54 film had it as super heat and intense radiation. Later versions, such as the Final Wars version, toned down the heat and radiation in favor for high pressure.

It took me a minute to get that one because I have never seen any Godzilla movie (except the fish scene from Zilla '98). That is funny, and I have seen brief scenes on YouTube, but other than that, nothing. Isn't there a GIF of that scene with the tree that says something like "Eat your vegetables"? 

Is it me? Or do you guys think that this desighn dosent really look like the empire magazine godzilla? The body does,but the face and head area kinda dosent, I think.

Does anyone know if Bandai Japan would be releasing any figures other than the Chibi toys? The US figures are ok. But would be better in vinyl as far as detailing. I hope that Yugi Sakai would do some sculpting. Also any word of kits?

This is exactly what I want him to look like in the film, not even a little change should be made, because it couldn't possibly be more perfect. It's clear that all the effort Gareth Edwards told us they put into the design really paid off. Just looking at this makes want te root for him.

When I am not philosophising with a hammer, I turn my attentions elsewhere. One does need a hobby after all. But I try to stay away from horses..

More on topic: Secondary thought time. We could also be seeing something similar to the internal flap found in crocodilians that allows them to not-drown when they grab onto something in the water. Now, while Godzilla has gills, if memory serves there are a handful of creatures with both gills and air-breathing lungs, more or less used to augment one another. Perhaps the gills allowed, through the many random quirks and such of evolution, to find a secondary use for the flap?

It looks like he has a secondary cavity within his mouth that, when he unhinges his jaw, falls 'down', laying on his tongue, and that's where his nuclear hell-fire comes from.

I'm not entirely sure those Iphone cases are official (especially that second one), but they ARE available on Amazon. So I'll include them in the original post in the meantime, Treveasy.

Even if this isn't how it actually is this looks like a pretty real adaptation of his atomic breath so he doesn't burn himself with it!!!
