@KingKaijuGojira- I will eventually, if I can ever find one. I've see scenes, the fights, of nearly all the Gamera movies, and other aspects of his abilities enough to speculate that Gamera would give Godzilla a decent run for his money.

Godzilla lazer-Stomps the kaiju rip-offs, and hard. They would have better fights with the Jeagers of Pacific Rim. And as for Gamera, he has nothing in his arsenal that would present a threat to the stronger incarnations of the character. Not his durability, not his physical strength, not even his speed or energy projection. Nothing new, nothing threatening. I heard Gamera has energy absorbtion. Too bad that won't save him from being beaten to death, because last I checked he can't absorb kinetic energy, if he could he would never take physical damage. I heard FW Godzilla has infinite power. Has Gamera been shown to be able to absorb infinite power? If not he gets blasted through the air just like Emperor Ghidorah and everyone else who stood in Gojira's way. I've also heard that Gamera was a mach-speeder. Too bad Godzilla has tagged enemies like Megaguirus who could out speed the pull of a black hole. Feats. Godzilla has them.

well like you said, if it flops, we wont be seeing godzilla for a LONG time, we might even have to wait longer than 10 years IF this flops the next time around, but I really hope not. Jurassic Park is coming back, potentially a pcafic rim 2, the time of giant creatures might be the new thing after the whole "zombies" thing died out. right now, it's superhero films

Here are some of my favorite screenshots.

My favorite would have to Biollante. I don't know what it is about her but she has always been my favorite. Maybe it is the tendrils orr the spore flight. Either way she will always be my favorite Kaiju of all.

Outside of Toho, but still Japanese I would have to go with either Legion or Irys. They have unique designs and abilities and are just plain cool looking. Legion's overall look made me see a beast that had the power to destroy the world. Irys's powers and looks made him a favorite of mine the tendrils that lasers and the transperent skin wings are just so cool.

Outside of Toho and anything Japanese I would have to go Otachi from Pacific Rim. The grip tall was what originally made me like her, But when she sprayed acid it made mr like her even more. Then her wings came out of her arms (I still don't know how they work) and she became my ultimate favorite.

My answer is debateable since he isn't technically japanese, but King Kong is my 2nd favorite giant monster. If we're talking strictly Toho then it's probably a tie between Destoroyah and Hedorah.

It'll never be over. Even after the film drops people will continue to believe that Mothra is in the movie.

I don't think there are 4, your 4th MUTO from the bridge scene is Godzilla in my opinion, the spikes which crashes through the bridge look like his.

Well after seeing all the heisei gamera movies excluding vs Legion I'd be pretty comfident in Godzilla. Sure Gamera is faster, but this Godzilla has survived multiple nukes. Gamera's best weapons don't allow him to fly so his speed advantage does out the window if he wants to do any serious damage to Godzilla. Godzilla has a decent size advantage and it's fair to say just as much firepower as him, if not more we still haven't seen the atomic breath leading me to think it's very destructive and that's why it's being saved. Their durablility is about the same but I'd give Godzilla the edge. It wouldn't be a stomp but I see Godzilla winning this 

There's an area in the trailers that looks like something glowing and Muto related has been put in a giant man made area with wires across it, and then we see the winged Muto breaking out, I think this is the same as the Airport Muto but somehow grown about 4 times in size when it was in that glowing state.

The airport one has wings and surprisingly Gareth Edwards made a point of mentioning that at the latest convention.

Deviantiest, you may want to watch a Gamera movie. I suggest Gamera, Guardian of the Universe. I can't say Gamera would beat Godzilla. Nor can I say Godzilla would beat Gamera. Until a movie is made, I can call it a draw at best.

I don't know about 3 or 4 MUTO organisms. 3 seems feasible, but 4? Not so much.

2 has been confirmed and seems to be the most likely.

Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that the MUTO was a new addition to the torn apart city snippet. That caught me truly by surprise.

I bet the other MUTO is as big as Godzilla, the Hokmuto from airport isn't that big (but it's not an ant, it's maybe half of Godzilla).

I don't think the MUTOs will have some special attack like the atomic breath, but I bet they are faster in aguility than Godzilla and one (or maybe both) can fly.

A few weeks ago I read a nice theory of the San Francisco bay scene where the planes fall into the sea. Maybe the winged MUTO can scream soundwaves like bats and so the military planes fall from the sky because all systems failed due the soundwaves.

The biggest titan, the steaming one without any skin, isn't even half Godzilla's height. I haven't seen many episodes of 'Attack on Titan', but from what I've seen its only abilities are that it's super big.

Godzilla would win in a fight to the death very, very quickly. In a contest of which one gives me the creeps more, then that'd go to the skinless titan. Ick.

The MUTO actually isn't "a ant compared to godzilla," it is merely a matter of perspective. The MUTO creature is standing away from the airport, closer to a monorail (I assume), whereas Godzilla is MUCH closer to the airport, where the camera angle is poitioned.

Some may say that the MUTO caused the planes to explode, and must be closer to the airport to do that, but it didn't. A helicopter was damaged during the confrontation with the creature, spiraled out of control, and then crashed, igniting the fuel in the planes before Godzilla (who is nearly directly in front of the airport) steps into view.

As for the MUTOs special ability, probably flight, judging from the wings it seems to have.

I had a disscussion about people's favorites before. So that's why I only said Mothra. Incase any one was wondering.

Done? No, it will be just like in 98 except I think toho would wait longer before they take another shot.

So, I think its pretty safe to say that there are at least 3 if not 4 MUTO's in this movie.

1. The Mantis looking one from the wondercon footage which is smallest of them all.

2. Flying MUTO seen in BODZILLAs scree nshot or "MUTO1"

3. The MUTO that is much bigger rampaging through vegas or "MUTO2"

4. The MUTO that breaks through the bridge that ATJ is walking down. (Could be Big G Tho)

ALSO i think its interesting what BODZILLA brought up that the 2 monitors are likely different places around the world.  MUTO 1 is probably the Phillippines.  MUTO 2 is deffinitly in VEGAS as you can see the Cosmopolitian Hotel.  I have a feeling these creatures start globally and seek out Godzilla with a crazy battle in SF.

I've never even watched a Gamera movie, and I'm saying Gamera would play circles around our beloved Godzilla.

As Gman2887 said, Gamera is a walking swiss army knife of pull-out-your-ass powers. Godzilla, especially the new one, is going to need a big boost to contend with that.

I'm surprised nobody has pulled that atrocious "Mary-Sue" or "Gary-Stue" card on Godzilla yet, after all these discussons, I've come to notice that there isn't a single thing that could permanently defeat Godzilla.

Jagers? Nope. Lunch.
Titans? Nope. Disintegration.
Black holes? Nope. Just minor set-backs in a daily stroll.
Being blown up from the inside out? Nah. I'll regenerate.
Jr. being murdered? I'll melt on top of him to make another Godzilla.
Blew up my second brain? Rodan's got my back here.
Oxygen destroyer, then build a suit of armor over my bones? Hey, thanks for the lazers n' stuff.

Well, except for the fact Gamera is Godzilla's biggest threat in terms of power (it seems. fyi, I've never watched a Gamera movie).

Godzilla has had some bad movies in the past. *cough, Godzilla's Revenge, cough cough.* But Godzilla recovers from these set backs. He's been around for 60 years. Godzilla will survive. He will probably be here long after we are gone and a new generation of fans take our place.

Ooh, you're right. I forgot. Thank you for reminding me. Plus his body exploded, leaving behind only his heart...which...was...still...beating! (Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah, Giant Monsters All Out Attack!)

I missed the first one. But I am definitely going to get these two. Super X-3, Maser Tanks, and destroyed Buildings! (Oh my!) The Buildings are a nice suprise. I can start to get a background scene for my Monsters. Plus two new Atomic Breath effects. And one of them ends in a explosion. This is going to be worth every penny I spend on it.
