Gorosaurus is the only Toho monster that should be in the new Kong movie. He is originally Kong’s monster anyway. I do agree that Kong deserves his own rouges gallery rather than piggy backing on Godzilla’s. I want him to fight some mammalian kaiju too!
Kong. MUTO Prime evolved to hunt and prey on Godzilla’s species so it is more prepared to handle Godzilla than any other Titan. Kong is an alpha and definitely strong and smart enough to take MUTO Prime. He should be able to match its physical strength and is faster and more agile. Kong is also a better fighter who got mad hands. Mid dif Kong with out the axe. Low dif Kong with the axe, but he no longer has it or needs it anymore so I’m sure we won’t see him use it again.
when referring to suicide squad I think it means 2016.
Also to offer my own take, I think the MCU is so successful that anyone will watch it and the critics will adore it no matter the actual quality (example: Captain Marvel) and Toho's monsters have more of that cult status and I think there's potential after the success of Godzilla Vs. Kong. Unfortunately it's hard to tell given the current rights issue making it's future uncertain.
Also people have flocked to KOTM and GVK solely because Millie Bobby Brown was in it, which sort of repeats Gman's statement about Marvel: "If a movie has the Marvel logo, audiences flock to it."

It’s always possible. Since the Hollow Earth shares a lot of similarities with the primordial world from Journey to the Center of the Earth, I could see dinosaurs popping up in the future.
Observation:
While I'm not entirely sure I agree with Jack's assessment, I do think the MCU is in a unique position to do things other cinematic universes can not. After watching The Suicide Squad flop as hard as it did, (followed by titles like Birds of Prey) I don't think obscurity is bankable for WB.
If a movie has the Marvel logo, audiences flock to it. That's not the case for everything. A solo Mothra or Rodan movie, especially in the current climate blockbusters exist in, is financial suicide. I think Jack's nailed it about one thing though, if there's a chance for a solo film about those monsters it's coming from Toho.
Even then I don't think they have a great shot. As popular of a character as she is, the Mothra trilogy didn't do great business. (Though they were made on much smaller budgets than the Heisei and Millennium Godzilla films--Probably for the best.)
@HinikunaGoji: I feel that Toho making a “World of Godzilla” cinematic universe is our best chance of getting Mothra and Rodan solo films.

Actually, two people made my point, so...
The first season came out just fine. I watched it twice or three times. And based on that movie I decided to play some kind of rpg game. Because that's the genre of game that reminds me of this movie. The game was pretty simple. I found it somewhere here. But still. I'm really looking forward to season 2.

In all seriousness I'm glad that they didn't have him in KOTM (besides stock footage), it made his first encounter with Godzilla in GvK more impactful.
Wouldn’t make any sense. He doesn’t care about being an alpha of all titans like Godzilla and Ghidorah, but being the alpha of Skull Island. Not to mention that he had was busy stopping the skull crawlers who did respond to the call from destroying the island. With Skull island gone now, he is only worried about keeping alpha status in Hollow earth or claiming it as he just got there. Nothing will stand in the way of that as Kong will fight tooth and nail for that crown and honestly deserves it.
In the novelization he purposely stays on skull island, and how would he get off it, he’s not a great swimmer.
I liked season one a lot, and it definitely should get a season two.
