Based on the leaked stuff and the image above, it looks like the Super MUTO (that's what I'm calling it for the time being) has deformed primary arms. There's stuff oozing out, and in general they don't look like they're supposed to be that way.
That thing is cool. I wonder what its name is and what its abilities are?
I believe it's name is MUTO King?
Definitely resembles unused titanTalaghan from 2014 Movie and might be the one coming out of oil rig in preview? O.o
Looks good, but that TAIL though
I made a thread like this
Yo, that thing is HUGE
Yeah, that thing is DEFINITELY a Super MUTO of some kind. Maybe one of the babies from the MUTOs' nest from the first movie managed to survive and grew extremely quickly, thus necessitating that Godzilla deal with it first before going back into hibernation.
TheGMan123,
It could not have been corroborated and shouldn't have been posted at all. I was pretty miffed it was published to begin with, but I'm glad it was taken down.
I started when 2014 first came out, I’m pretty young so that’s why I’m so late on it but then after I saw that I saw the Japanese versions and oh my god I thought dang the Japan movies were so much better, and gradually I got more hooked on to Godzilla and here I am now
Clearly the article was taken down for inaccuracy, we all know that Anguirus has a condo in Shangai with a summer home by the Caspian sea :)
This does remind me of that one weird moment where there was temporarily a news article that "spoiled" the fact that Anguiris was the Munich Titan. What happened there, anyways?
I didn't get to comment on it before it was taken down.
Aww man. That's a bummer. Oh well. Might as well accept it. Though, there is always the possibility they are lying to avoid spoilers. But I won't hold by breath
I'm digging that too!
Man, all these new figures are AMAZING.
I especially like how they're always accentuating a blue motif for Godzilla.
I'd skimmed through some of the early reports from people who saw the preview screenings so knew this was a thing for a while, which always makes reading fan speculation a "sit back and bite the tongue" affair, but ultimately I'm happy about this, at least for this movie having 4 well known and loved kaiju already. One of my biggest complaints with Toho in general the last 20 years has been a lack of original monsters short of Orga, Megaguirus and variations of other creatures, so expanding the kaiju cast through the Legendary world makes me happy and makes me hope that when Toho gets back to their own productions of kaiju films they'll feel emboldened to not stick to safe, bankable kaiju but try to branch out and make interesting new creations.
I became a fan of Godzilla back in early 70's and haven't looked back. I am old school though and wasn't a big fan of the 1998 movie. 2014 was somewhat better. I was looking for new member introductions, but couldn't find it. Hello to all Godzilla fans.
Hi! If this thread is still alive, here is my trailer for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.
Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Fan Trailer | «Let Them Fight»
I believe that King Ghidorah will be mostly quadrupedal since the director said he wanted to base him off a dragon. But judging by the trailers he will rear up and stand on his legs to look bigger and intimidate his opponents. Its shown in this photo that King Ghidorah is standing on his wings like a wyvern: Personally I love the change it adds realism to him because it wouldnt make much sense for a dragon to stand on its hind legs for long periods of time, one they’re too heavy and their tails wont give much balance, since wings are their most powerful limbs it makes sense that wyvern like Ghidorah would use his wings for balance, some might say: oh but Godzilla and rodan are gonna be bipedal, well first off Godzilla has a thick tail he uses for balance and Rodan will use his wings for support like a pterosaur would.

Anguirus and kumonga be like
Besides if it were another Toho monster that would be impossible to keep a secret, unless you are marvel studios
This isn't necessarily "news" this has been known for a while
I've known this for a while (don't ask how) but this can only be a good thing. If there were other Toho kaiju in the film, they wouldn't have had much screen time, making some fans angry at the lack of attention given to past monsters. Plus, new monsters add to the massive list of kaiju from every Godzilla movie (and creating their own dedicated fanbases.)
Nice find! Thanks for sharing!
From what I've read, two titans will die or at least one for sure but I won't mention exactly who those titans are
The Arthropod titan is probably somwhere in the middle east, Saudi Arabia or otherwise. It would have to be controlled by a U.S ally as those vehicles we see in the tv spot are U.S military vehicles. I haven't looked at the Monarch website recently so I don't remember how many sites are in the middle east. But that is definitely where it is, at least for my money
Yeah I believe it was supposed to be a stand in for rodan/king ghidorah, like how rokmutul was supposed to be a stand in for anguirus
Yeah it's so interesting
Ah thank you for the correction. I wasn't sure, but either way I don't think it fits the creature. He almost looks more like a dragon, or some sort of hyper evolved flying reptile. Which would make pterodactly make sense, because pterosaurs are flying reptiles, but at the same time something more original would just be so much more engaging.
Oh the because science video, love that show. But I see what you were getting at, ionizing radiation is what would turn the air blue. Forgot to mention that one lol, so it would still be primarily gamma radiation. Though there could be something else in it as well like Kyle said. This would also explain why he has that blue glow, it's ionizing radiation being expelled from his body.
Actually a pterodactyl isn't a specific species the closest to that name is the Pterodactylus
It really is, but oh well. MUTO is just an acronym if we're being literal. Pterodactyl, if I remember correctly, is a species of pterosaur and that thing doesn't really look like a pterosaur. At least if you ask me. I get where they were going with the name, just don't think it fits.
Actually you'll find that they didn't take any creative liberty with the atomic breath, the video makes that really clear, I was really surprised when I found out, and it goes into the science of it
It is more in the blue spectrum, though admittedly it's not as bright a blue as what we see in the movies but artistic license is a fun way for creators to make things more visually pleasing. If it were more true to life it would be a deeper blue, very close to like a midnight blue. But that wouldn't look as good on a dark colored creature. Kinda side tracked your post here, sorry about that. Oops missed the post about the video, I'll have to watch that later, I'm sure there's some artistic reason why it's blue.
Yeah the name should totally be changed on pterodactyl, it's way to generic
There is another reason why godzillas atomic breath is blue the reason is in this video, I would explain it but I might not do as well as the video
Yeah I remember reading somewhere that gamma radiation produces blue light but I couldn't remember if that was true or not
Yeah that Rokmutul titan really does bear a striking resemblance to the titan that comes out of the mountain. That would be really cool, because that is one awesome looking monster. I would like to see Pterodactyl as well, but maybe with a better name lol.
@TheGMan123 Well that is and isn't true. Bear with me here I'm not a nuclear physicist I just did research for a book I'm writing. SciFi book, figured I'd clarify that just in case. So the way most modern nuclear weapons, things like the minute men ICBM's, is they are thermo nuclear, which for us non nuclear engineers. That it's a fission reaction that sets off a fusion detonation. This produces absolutely HUGE amounts of gamma radiation, which is in the blue spectrum, which is why I believe Godzilla is glowing blue. That and all of his marketing is blue, and well the atomic breath has always been blue hasn't it.... sorry thinking and typing. While you are absolutely correct that Neutron bombs put out large amounts of radiation as well, they are designed to create fallout. As opposed to the thermo nuclear devices that would eject most of the radioactive material into the atmosphere. One of the reasons nuclear weapons are so horrifically dangerous is that if you can see the flash, it can kill you. Gamma radiation is produced by the act of detonating the warhead and propagates out in all directions. There are certain factors like attenuation to consider, but that's really only if you're behind something seriously substantial. It's also the one complaint I have about the 2014 movie. You see the blast go off, which means anyone who was within line of sight of the detonation just got dosed with gamma radiation.
I don't mean to tirade, so I'm sorry if that's how this is coming across. I like to share knowledge.
Anyway. If Godzilla is feeding primarily off gamma radiation, which I bet he is, then something like Zarbomba would be like you or me chugging several monster tall boys back to back. Zarbomba detonated with an absolutely titanic force of fifty megatons. The amount of radioactive material it would have taken to get that monstrous of a detonation would have released huge amounts of gamma radiation. The point I'm trying to make here, and weather they go this way in the film, is that if the Gman is fueled by gamma radiation then the bigger the bomb the better. Yes this has some dangerous side effects, like obliterating everything in that cave. But it would dose Godzilla with large amounts of radiation quickly, as opposed to a dirty bomb like a Neutron bomb. But either way, discussions like this are fun :)
P.S. I use words like monstrous and horrific, because that's what nuclear power is. It is awe-inspiring, but it is truly terrible as well. Sorry just felt the need to clarify that
