Fair enough, BUT the example you mentioned still got another year and then some with the reshoots. And it still performed poorly. Now there's even less time, and this movie has to do even better than the last. That's why I'm kinda worried. They need to excel with this one or the Monsterverse will stop producing movies. Heck, it might even stop anyways.

Hmmm.... I have some suggestions. Orion by Metallica, Unknown Soldier or Tourniquet both by Breaking Benjamin (Blow Me Away would also be good, but that song was already in Halo 2), or When A Demon Defiles A Witch by Whitechapel

How do we know the reshoots have any effects footage in it? People seem to forget that King of the Monsters went through reshoots in April/May of 2018. However, the descriptions were for shots of more extras - people dressed as scientists, etc. It didn't sound like anything effects heavy.
Re-shoots are common with with almost every movie. They happened with King of the Monsters, they happened with Avengers: Endgame, it's no shock they're happening here. They usually occur when the director and editor realize a scene isn't working and/or could benefit from a few different shots/angles. So they go back and get those handful of shots to improve the pacing/editing of the scene.
This is the most likely thing that's happening--Unless the rumors of "massive reshoots" are true, but I feel are unlikely given the source.

I know but... it still feels like that might be a little short. To re shoot, say, 15 minutes of the film, then do the CGI and special effects for that 15 minutes, make it look like it wasn't filmed at a separate time... and with all the rest of the film... It just feels like that might be too short. I mean, shooting 15 minutes of film takes a pretty long time, then there's the editing for a 2 hour+ movie..
Uh. Obviously the reshoots were scheduled in advance of them changing the release date. So yes, the original release date was affected by the necessity for re-shoots.
When Godzilla uses his atomic breath on Kong and Kong gets scared. Twice. The thing that I'm most looking forward to is the clash between two famous monster icons that have been metaphors for nature. The question is, which one will be the TRUE king of the monsters?

I love the part where they are facing off and there is a temple between them. Then they both start intensly destroying the temple to get at each other.
@TheLazyFish, I think Gman is correct. They have 10 months to get it right and keep in mind, too, It has already been in post since may I believe.

Again, there's such a thing as footage showing the execution of a plot and the base plot, and then there's spoilery stuff like the main twist of the movie. I mean, imagine if they showed Ironman's death in the Endgame trailers! Or Thanos dying (either time) in the trailers! Or Burning Godzilla in the KOTM trailers! Oh wait...
Or if Darth Vader being Luke Skywalker's father was spoiled in the trailers. Sure, everyone knows it now, even if they haven't seen the movie like me, but imagine if BEFORE the movie was released that it was shown in the trailers. HUGE moment being lost.
In conclusion, there's a difference between showing stuff that shows the plot of the movie or differentiates it from similar movies, and showing the huge twists or the most important moments of the movie.

i feel a bioweapon will be used however given it took 16 years for the Human genome to be fully mapped. A creature like Ghidorah whom I believe is a Flawed genetically engineered terraforming machine at best and at worse a biologically created weapon to clear a planet for resale or resource gathering. so his genome will take a lot of time to map even with modern technology. so they will have to use the sequences of the muto's as the film takes place a year after KOM its just not enough time to map Ghidorah's genome.
also, Monsterverse Godzilla fights differently from Toho Godzilla thanks to the fact that its a motion capture CGI creature instead of a man in a suit. Monsterverse Godzilla a QCQ machine. Godzilla does not need to hit kong with his heat beam to beat him. Godzilla has sharp claws that can shred kongs soft skin, a tail that can break his bones, teeth that can rip his throat out. also if there fighting on a aircraft carrier all Godzilla needs to do to win is tackle Kong into the water, and once kong is in the water kong will lose as he can't breathe underwater well Godzilla both can. Had we not used the OD when Godzilla pulled Ghidorah into the water there would be more of Ghidorah to study. so ya Kong will die if they fight on an aircraft carrier or in the water cause Godzilla is the real King of the sea, Aquaman just lives in it.=)

I don't know, it's hard to hate a tortured soul and two cinnamon rolls. :P They successfully made picking one favorite character a lot harder.
My favourite moment is when King Kong is lying under rocks and he looks dead but then he is struck by lightnings and he is bring back to life with new power of electricity.

Kinda a two for one deal, when Kong got his electric fist and turn the ties. That is one thing I am also hoping is in the new movie. Of course not through lighting but hopefully they incorporate it some way or another.
Yep lol. What did you think of the new Symphogear users in G? As villians, I hated/loved them, as heros, I love them.
