KingSalomonMMIV Interesting. It begs the question- if both Godzilla and Kong indeed die (doubtful), is there another creature to carry on such as Mothra? I think that would be too much for fans, but there lots of creatures in the Monsterverse.

Xenotaris, your wording made it sound as if the MonsterVerse won't continue if Godzilla loses, and his death would seem like the only possible reason for the universe not to continue (box office numbers aside). 

I'm personally rooting for Kong. However, if I were making the movie, I would have him die after defeating Godzilla. This could help to develop the story in ways no one would expect (Godzilla is defeated and Kong would be dead, so the Titans and flora/fauna would be left without any ruler). Godzilla would still be alive, and this could make for a new, personal journey that he will have to go through; he will have to try to help save the earth while maintaining no domain over the monsters, figuring out how he can prove himself worthy of being king again. This is all just a lot of speculation, but I think it could be really interesting to see if they continue the MonsterVerse. 

Sorry but it would be stupid if the writers/producers killed off Godzilla in this battle. And if in the future there’s any other possible upcoming Kong battle type movies, Kong will not be killed off either. Its only when he goes to NY to chase after his woman who’s atop the Empire State Building, will Kong meet his demise. It’s Godzilla that we have to worry about.  Some other people (Not in this thread) misinterprets “One will Fall” as death.  I’ve heard this before off of other forum platforms and you tube comments.

I never said anything related to godzilla's death, I said win.

It's possible Amazon jumped the gun in updating their release dates without permission from Warner Brothers. It's also possible it was a mistake. Time will tell!

I think the movie phrase “One will Fall” got interpreted as “One will Die! Lol  I think a true champion has to experience defeat at least once right? Rocky lost to Apollo before claiming the title in the re-match.  I personally just want to see a clean tough battle between the two. No one dies…no one is lamed.  The one who falls will be the one who got defeated.  That’s all. If MonsterVerse/Legendary does this right and this installment makes a decent chunk of money, then who knows what will come next.  Just keep the mighty Godzilla alive ok! We all know how Kong will die. He just chose the wrong girlfriend! lol

Kong doesn't have to kill Godzilla to beat him. I'm not sure why so many people think that defeat = death.

Kong better not win a second time! I sincerely hope the Monsterverse continues because I want to see more of Monsterverse Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah.

Yes it's been rumored that one will fall but the storyline portrays them also teaming up to fight some villain titans. It does appear that Kong will win based on substantial rumors, but I doubt he will kill off Godzilla. There are too many other battles the mighty Godzilla can pursue such as Destoroyah, Biollante, Gigan and or one of the two Mecha’s. I sure hope the upcoming movie redeems itself in the box office for Legendary. If it is a big hit and a money maker, then maybe another one or two movies could be a possibility for other battles?  I wouldn’t say the last Godzilla:King of the Monsters was a flop though. Sure it fell way below Legendary’s desired $ figure, but after they tallied up the overseas amount it made, it actually didn’t do that bad. NOT GOOD, but definitely didn’t lose any money that’s for sure. Long live the King…And sorry…It’s not Kong!

I first liked Godzilla when watching Godzilla final wars at the time I was 7 years old and was in grade 1. At that time I was very bored watching shark and crocodile movie and finally my father bought a Godzilla VCD final 2 pieces. While I was watching I was very impressed with Godzilla.Has a very good atomic breath, strength, agility, and intelligence in fighting

@Monster_Zero 2112  I had already pre-ordered mine from Amazon, but the release date has since been changed to 2021.  We can always hope for a change.

I think Godzilla would kick everybody's ass (at least if I was directing said crossover because screw over-powered humans/human-like beings)

But yeah I agree, if Disney got a hold of the godzilla franchise and crossed it with Marvel, the kaiju would become a joke and ruin the charm of the godzilla franchise.

I'm for whenever WB releases it, whether November (before or after).  Was a time there was no internet and we waited to be surprised when a movie like this just showed up at the theatre.  There might have been an "upcoming" blurb in Famous Monsters, et al, but it was still "wait and see".

That would be better since KOTM came out a while ago

The best part is being able to talk about Kaiju. The parade is fun. Going to a movie is a must. When I went to Godzilla vs Mothra Hesei, it was unbelievable. The auctions are really fun, to watch.

Indeed Leto, an update is on the way, which will focus on Godzilla and Kong :)

The other KOTM teams will remain optional so Team Godzilla will still have a majority vote, however I will update the poll so it allows for a heavier focus on Godzilla and Kong.

J. Robert said a good point. Its clearly to see that ghidorah was about to be drown under water which says he need to breathe indeed. So thats a fact. His truly being still a mystery for us and the different origins in the previous movies didnt make it easier to understand. This mystery makes him really intersting as a kaiju/villain/living beeing.
The prehistroic people which draw him on the walls maybe knowed more about his beeing. I like him as only one of his kind who act on his own will but it sounds logical that hes a a "pawn" of an alien race because godzilla is like a pawn of human race. There's a theory that ghidorah is a punisher and should punish the humans for the bad treating the planet. I like how the humans are the bad in this view as well as godzilla whos created from the "bad" ones and protecting them.
Lets see what future holds.

If you have the Amazon Fire Stick, then you can find most of the Godzilla movies on the Amazon Prime Video app but you can either rent it or buy it.

I’ve only seen”Godzilla vs Megalon” on Xfinity and I thought that it was a cool Showa movie but I wasn’t that...into it. I think they could’ve done better on Megalons design.
