well i loved the original soundtrack to the original gojira film, second would be destroyah, king ghidorah 1991 film, and probably destroy all monsters. :)

Granted what editors cut and keep in films is largely subjective from one standpoint, but professional from another since it's their craft.

For example, you wanted the lightsaber construction scene kept in Return of the Jedi. You're right it didn't take anything away from the story, but it didn't add much either. Plus omitting it adds an element of surprise when Luke uses it for the first time. It alerts audiences that he has a brand new weapon and its reveal is much more exciting. The new saber isn't jarring enough to question and the pacing of the film isn't haulted by a random scene of him constructing it. Plus, if producers wanted the film to be a certain length then cutting down a short scene like that was the most logical.

Simply being a "badass" scene and "not taking away" from the story isn't enough to keep some shots in. You have to worry about pacing, run time length, how smoothly it cuts into the movie / surrounding scenes and if it's really needed. In the case of the lightsaber construction, I can say with 110% certainty there was no real necessity for it.

Hello, im new to the forums. My name is Jared and im 12 years old.

I seriously dont think they are gonna make Godzilla fight tiny little monsters. If that is the case, im not going to watch the movie at all. There has to be something behind the trailers. Possibly rodan maybe? 2 Godzillas is def a thought, or even a tag team where Godzilla and Godzilla.Jr team up against a huge monster or something. Maybe the mutos will form together like Destroyah or something!

GMAN I'm gonna have to respectively disagree with you. Its not always that film editors cut scenes for the greater good of the film. One Scend I recall that wished was in the final film was the deleted scene from Return of the Jedi. The scene when Luke is constructing his own lightsaber. Why they cut this from the final cut still baffels me. It didn't take away from the story and you gave the audience of how the lightsaber was constructed, not to mention how bad a** the scene was

I would like to see a Destroy All Monsters like sequel with updated Toho monsters.

I love the film, I love Burr's work in the film despite it being added to the original. In my opinion both GKotM and Gojira are equally great to me. They each had their own "uniqueness." Both are great films to watch and set the standard for most large monster films.

Naww...that snickers commercial was great. Godzilla deserved a commercial for once, i mean c'mon tons of kids saw that commercial who probably didn't know who godzilla was and probably loved it. Everytime my dad sees the commercial he says "Best commercial ever!" lol
