MonsterVerse Theory: Mechagodzilla Was Made Using Alien Technology.

MemberAnguirusNov-20-2021 2:57 PMLooking at the technology present in the MonsterVerse, Mechagodzilla and the technology APEX uses to control it seem pretty out there and feel more futuristic than what's been presented in the previous films. So I was wondering, what if Mechagodzilla was created using alien technology?
During the scene where Madison, Bernie, and Josh enter the APEX facility you can hear an announcement stating "Maglev shuttle departure to Roswell, New Mexico". Why would APEX be going to Roswell? In 1947, a unknown flying object crashed in Roswell. Roswell Army Air Field initially described it as a "flying disc", before suddenly retracting the statement claiming that the object was nothing more than a weather balloon. The sudden change in story lead to the theory of a cover up, with some believing that the military had actually recovered the remains of an alien ship. One of the more "out there" conspiracy theories surrounding the Roswell incident centers around the idea that the government is reverse engineering the alien technology in order to advance their own weapons. The MonsterVerse has had a large focus on conspiracy theories and cover ups in the past, so the idea of the series taking inspiration from this conspiracy theory isn't too far fetched. It becomes even more likely when it's later revealed that Monarch has a secret base in Roswell, indicating that something out of the ordinary is there.
In fact most of APEX's technology is pretty out there when you think about it. So what if APEX is stealing and reverse engineering alien tech and using it to create their own? Sounds crazy, but as Walter Simmons stated earlier in the movie, "He loves crazy ideas, they made him rich".

MemberGiganNov-20-2021 3:17 PMpersonally i wouldn’t want to see it in monsterverse. It would feel more like a retcon, and because we haven’t seen aliens in monsterverse yet it would feel weird to see them and say they were always here
expecting the worst, sets you up for thr worst

MemberAnguirusNov-20-2021 3:39 PMGhidorah's an alien and he arrived on Earth thousands of years before the events of King of the Monsters and canonically the Titans have around for millions of years, being hidden within the Hollow Earth and modern humans not discovering them until the 50s, so the idea of undiscovered alien technology being on Earth wouldn't be that much of a retcon.

MemberGiganNov-20-2021 5:19 PMFeels weird, but not entirely far-fetched. They did do Hollow Earth, so anything is possible...

MemberGiganNov-20-2021 5:36 PMDoes hollow earth remind anyone else of the dinosaurs at the center of the earth trope? Or is that just me.
Im not too keen on the idea of alien races in MV it’s a bit overused to me.

MemberAnguirusNov-20-2021 5:51 PMThe Hollow Earth does seem to take a lot of influence from the underground lost world idea, which I'm perfectly fine with, I like that concept.
As far as aliens go, I agree that if they go for the typical humanoid alien invasion like in the Showa series it would be too predictable and kind of boring, but if did something more unique like what Toho did for Godzilla 2000, it could be interesting.

MemberGiganNov-20-2021 6:14 PMI hope Hollywood "Xiliens" are more Alien looking than Toho Xiliens. As in being less humanoid and having more unique designs that deviate from the human form or make them look like a star trek alien

If they introduce aliens into the MonsterVerse I hope they have a more unique and less humanoid design. I was recently re-watching Godzilla: The Series, which has probably one of the coolest alien designs in the franchise.
If they bring aliens into the MonsterVerse, I want them to have a more monstrous design like this.

humanitys technological skill might have advanced since 2019.

MemberAnguirusNov-21-2021 8:30 AMand after the 2014 and 2019 incedents humanity would want to put titan defense on high priority. alloying more reasearch into anti-titan mechs to be done all culminating in mecha-gojira.

MemberBaragonNov-27-2021 4:39 AMIf this theory is true, and if we ever see aliens in the future, the filmmakers could take the whole conspiracy element further by revealing that the technology APEX discovered belonged to an alien race that’s similar to the Annunaki from the Nibiru/Planet X conspiracy theory and ancient Sumerian mythology. According to the conspiracy theory, the Annunaki were an ancient humanoid race that arrived on Earth after their homeworld (Nibiru), a planet that’s either rogue or is part of a mini solar system with a brown dwarf star at its center, came in close contact with Earth thousands of years ago. Once they arrived on Earth, the Annunaki were responsible for the creation of all of the world’s religions.
Since the MonsterVerse loves to delve into real world conspiracy theories, seeing a race that takes inspiration from the Annunaki (and Xiliens) wouldn’t surprise me at all. The filmmakers could make them the ones who were responsible for the Roswell incident and for sending Ghidorah to Earth during humanity’s prehistory. Maybe they sent him to terraform the Earth for them to colonize, but after they hear about him being defeated by Godzilla in KOTM, they decide to launch a full scale invasion of Earth, and arrive with Keizer Ghidorah and Gigan. This would be the premise for a Destroy All Monsters film, and I think it would be awesome to see all of the Earth Titans team up to defeat them.
