What do you think the runtime for Godzilla Vs. Kong will be?

You guys should comment on this but for me, it's simple.  For a monster movie with the scale and scope of Godzilla Vs. Kong, I think the runtime could run anywhere from 2 hours and 35 minutes to possibly 3 hours and 10 minutes.  This movie has a lot to offer like the matchup itself, the Hollow Earth stuff, the mystery of Godzilla flipping sides, APEX, etc.  I don't really believe the leaks that the movie will be under 2 hours, because that's baloney.  Another possibility is that a leak said that the movie is two hours and 33 minutes.  That's totally fair, but anyways it needs to be the longest MonsterVerse movie in order to jam all that story in...

WB is honestly more worried about how people respond to their movies.  Remember, they lost faith in Zack Snyder after people HATED Batman V. Superman.  It had to take a whole fan campaign to get his Justice League to HBO Max.

sonictiger,
But that's not entirely true. WB suggested Snyder just release his cut unfinished to appease fans, because they didn't want to put any money into it. But Snyder rejected that idea and isn't even being paid for his cut of the movie, because he didn't want WB to tell him what to do.

Furthermore, HBOMax funded the completion of the Snyder Cut, not WB. It's been insinuated by Snyder that WB doesn't want anything to do with it, because they don't want to admit they were wrong about changing it. Furthermore, Snyder said WB has not been advertising it very well--Likely for this reason.

So no, WB does not care so much how people respond. Just like every studio, they care about money because money is what keeps the lights on and pays them.

The only reason Godzilla vs. Kong even got made after Godzilla: King of the Monsters flopped at the box office was because it was already in production. Rest assured, Godzilla vs. Kong probably would not have been made had it not already been filming when Godzilla: King of the Monsters came out. We got lucky.

But remember, after the reception of the god-awful Whedon-directed JL, WB totally changed their DC slate.  They were also scared of critical reception.

Another example is, after the divisive response to Star Wars: The Last Jedi (which made over a billion dollars) Disney frantically tried to change The Rise Of Skywalker, which was almost ready to film.  They fired Colin Trevorrow and brought back J.J Abrams, who wrote a completely new story and fans and critics were yet again divided.

Studios do care about what people think of their movies, regardless of how much money they make.

sonictiger,
Not saying they don't, but you have to remember that film is still a business. They want to make a "product" that satisfies, but it won't make a difference if it doesn't make money.

Yeah, kinda glad that I got into this little debate.  Otherwise it would've gotten boring.

I like how people here are not trusting a trustworthy source, but trusting the untrustworthy "source".

Man you guys are going to feel silly when you sit through a movie that's 1 hour and 53 minutes.

Only Some of us said that it wouldn’t be 1 hr 53.

Question, Who’s bringing the stopwatch to prove it

I agree with Harrison, but Gman had good points about allocine having a fine runtime

I remember about a year ago, Adam Wingard dismissed the false three hour runtime on IMDb. His opposition to the runtime claim definitely suggests it is much shorter in reality.

Again. This shouldn't be shocking. Studio's simply aren't going to let it be that long and AlloCine was right about the last three Monsterverse films.

Fandango.com is now also reporting the 1 hr, 53 min runtime.
