Significance in the location of Godzilla’s and Kong’s battle

I think it'll be in skull island

I feel like it should stay on Skull Island, at least until (Somehow. I don't know how exactly if it happens.) Godzilla destroys the island itself and lures Kong to a city before the second or third act.
