What if in 1998 we were treated to Godzilla 2014? Like, it was a very faitful ataptation and was all serious and over all, good. But then in 2014, we got...well 1998. How do you think fans would react? Do you think it would change Godzilla's movie history? Am I asking to many questions???? Probably!

But lemme know what you think!

I can't watch Godzilla 1998 without thinking about adding Godzilla into it. (Basically the same thing, except Godzilla destroying the boats in the the beginning, Godzilla fighting Zilla throughout the film, Godzilla burning down the Madison Square Garden with his Atomic Breath, and Godzilla killing Zilla at the end (along with better acting and characters of course).

Also, yes. That would definately change the Godzilla series. Would the MUTOs appear in Final Wars? Would there even be a Final Wars? Would the Millenium series even exits? :o

I think the 1998 (2014) would have a few sequals and 2014 (1998) would be a big flop.... but 1998 (2014) would be cool cuz I could've seen the sequals (yey)

I think we still would've gotten the Millenium series, considering Toho is going to make films to compete with the new one. We may not have gotten the famous one-liner in GMK, but still.

Also Sci-fi King made a good question, would the MUTOs have been in Final Wars? Would that version of Godzilla have been in FInal Wars? Would he have been killed instantly like Zilla was?

Everything would be different. I bet there wouldn't even be a millenium series since it was only made because 1998 floped and they needed to bring the Big G back. But would Godzilla just die? Or would he just have his own American series and move away from Japan? But if it did kill of the Godzilla series...then I guess we have to be glad that 1998 sucked.

Godzelda123,
Yes, but Toho is making another Godzilla film now because of the success of the 2014 film-- In part to keep interest in Godzilla high since Legendary is going to drag their feet for four years to get thier sequel done. So I'm pretty sure the Millennium series would have existed in some form. It may simply have not been the same slate of films we know today.
