Since so many people love G 1954 the best! Doesn't that make 1956 the best American Godzilla Film?

Godzilla 1956 is completely different from 1954, it screwed the whole plot.

Best american G film is 2014.

I think Godzilla: King of the Monsters is better than G14, but I also think the American edit of 85 is better so does that makes G14 the 3rd best American Godzilla for me?

Durp the only films that count are ones that America almocompletely changed like 1954. I haven't seen the Japanese ver of 1984 but if it counted then it would be the best American godzilla no doubt

Gorilla I feel they could have done better. The main thing I'm glad they did was the anti-hero rought instead of just a hero rought

HFTT could they have done better in G14 yes they could of have, but here is the thing they dumbed down the 1956 version. The original is so good is because they don't hold any punches they give the grim reality of the monster. When the movie came to the US they toned down the movie and made more western friendly. Say what you will about G14 but it does show the threat of nuclear weapons granted it was in a way no one was proabaly expecting. And it's been too long since I saw the 85 edit so I can't judge that.

While the message may have been pulled back in the 56 version I don't think it was any less prevalent than the 2014 version had

I hope you guys know CGI doesn't make everything better just certain things. Godzilla Is fine the way he is. Dont worry Japan probably start using Cgi

Well 84 is also heavilly edited to tone down the USA, so id also considere it a difrent version

 feel they say cgi make people hate the classics

I feel it is safe to say cgi has some pros and cons
