What is the #1 G film other than the original?

What do you mean "other than the orignal". 54 was a great film but its not the best of all 30 films.(28 If you don't conseder boht american versions.)

for me, it's Final Wars, everything about godzilla in that is what makes me remember why I loved him so much when I was younger:

I just love Final Wars G so much more than any others, those're the only reasons I can think of though.

GMan would actually know my answer here. We've discussed this before. For me, it's Mothra Vs Godzilla '64. Godzilla is a dark, destructive, avenging god in it. No apologies. He is belligerent. That's the Godzilla that I love. He's no anti-hero, or saviour. He is punishment for our hubris. For me, a Godzilla movie is defined by "iconic moments or scenes" and this film has them in spades. It's basically an hour and a half, but there are so many iconic scenes involving Godzilla that it feels like he's in half the movie, but it probably amounts to a few minutes more than G 2014. He appears, rampages, takes on the Japanese and American military (American version), rampages some more and has two fights with the adult Mothra and her offspring. His look is great; his face and eyes are so damn mean-looking!

I want this movie on Blu-Ray please!

For me the one that best represents what Godzilla means is Mothra vs Godzilla, and GMK

I think Godzilla vs Biollante is the #1 g film even if we're counting the original.

KOLDWARKID JRR- That same Godzilla is also one of the dumbest, clumsiest, and weakest, he was basically being owned by Mothra xD, He tripped and fell into suspension wires, and he couldnt decide to blast Mothra. It is a good movie though, but not the best Godzilla.

Although Godzilla is known to be mean, when you think of Godzilla, you think of destruction.

Godzilla has only been evil 4 times, he is truthly, a anti-hero. Thats what 2014 was able to accomplish, and thats what Showa and later Heisei was able to too.

So to me, the most faithful Godzilla interpretation (Not design but nature choices) Is Godzilla vs King Ghidorah.

For the first part he was an anti hero, not fighting for anything, but not caring about anything else but himself. Then in the later, he becomes a villain.

It incooperates what Godzilla truly was.

He also asks what the ultimate gfilm is and while protraying Godzilla is an important aspect in that, it's also not the only thing that needs to be looked at, although I think Godzilla's portrayal in Godzilla vs Biollante is pretty spot on, along with the the characters, story and effects it becomes "the ultimate godzilla film"

Eh, you kids need to realize that the first film is the best. Right movie, right time, right place, right enviroment.

But second best would have to be mothra vs godzilla 1964 or maybe even the return of godzilla 1984.

Well he does seem to have a fairly weak atomic breath, and less streangth, but this could be because he never fougth any monster

^you really can't say that, technology wasn't what it is today. Besides he picked up the bridge with his arms towards the end of his attack in tokyo.

JRR- Godzilla 1954 is Gmk, so im surpries your critiscizing it despite gmk being your favirote Godzilla.

However, Gmk was hax with his human sould controlling him. Godzilla 1954 is what Gmk at the soul is.

54 godzilla died at the end of the film, GMK is another godzilla on his own.

Yeah, but GMK, in his continuity, is the original reborn with all that mystical stuff and stuff :P

They said in the film "First godzilla attack was repulse, the animal was killed by using an unknown chemical compound and the inventor has since died and his records have been lost" Gmk, is not the 54 godzilla.

But some how in some way final wars said that "The king of monsters that apperead in 1954 which still threatens mans very exsistence" Meaning that the oxygen destroyer didn't kill him.
