The Easter egg most people never spot.

Uh... I don't think that's an Easter Egg. Just because you think that a monster's roar sounds a little bit like the roar of another monster doesn't mean the filmmakers intended it to be that way. Personally, I thought the female M.U.T.O. sounded like Destoroyah, but that doesn't mean it's an Easter Egg.

GODZILLA:THEDESTROYEROFWORLDS - How very interesting! I'ts always fun to watch a film to see just how many similarities to source material we can find! I'll definately have to watch the film once more to see if the male MUTO's vocalization is close to Mothra's when he is trouncing Godzilla! Thank you ever so much for sharing this with us! :)

That's not an easter egg and no it didn't sound like Mothra. I know because I'm a graduate student in Recording Arts and sound engineering and I am trained to listen critically to audio. The M.U.T.O screamed and sounded more like a strange hawk on steroids than Mothra.
