There are strong men and weak men. The strong ones are here to keep the weak ones up when ever they fail.

^Actually, they mentioned Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah, and THEN went on to say other Toho monsters could join Godzilla in future installments. Notice the bolded words came after they specifically mentioned the big 3 would be joining Godzilla, so yes, it's direct confirmation they're all going to be in the same movie together, there's nothing ambiguous about it at all, it's called connecting the dots.

But if simple reading comprehension weren't enough, they lumped all 3 together in the teaser trailer for G2 at Comic Con. I mean, that's it, I really don't know what more to say after that, I'd say that's pretty clear and conclusive evidence right there, what more do you want? If they weren't gonna be in the same movie together, they wouldn't have been featured in the G2 teaser trailer, plain and simple.

The problem is Godzilla 2 is a, "future installment." There's nothing concrete in their words as to how the monsters would be used. I would also urge caution on calling the video at Comic Con a "Godzilla 2 teaser". It merely announced monsters for "the future". That's it.

It's a game of words announcement done in a way only a lawyer could love so fans can talk in circles exactly like we are. If all three monsters are in the next film then yes, Legendary officially announced it yesterday. If all three monsters are not in the movie, well, they technically didn't lie about it either.

I think it's safe to say this is going to be a new version of Ghidora the three headed dragon. Also I think the first part of the movie will be Rodan and Mothra's backstory and them joining Godzilla and the second half will be mostley King Ghidora.

Except it doesn't say "other monsters, including Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah" it just says other monsters could come in later on AFTER listing the big 3 that have already been confirmed. It also clearly lists Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah as confirmed and then goes into the unknowns, why would they list them both separately if they weren't all going to be in the same movie together? Why even make that distinction then?

But, again, if that's not enough for you, the fact that they confirmed it during the panel and featured all 3 monsters in the trailer should be enough to close the lid on this "debate", it wasn't a 'Godzilla 3' teaser, it wasn't a teaser for both sequels, it was a teaser trailer for 'Godzilla 2' and all 3 monsters happened to be in it, so there you go. There hasn't been one time I can recall where a character that was featured in the trailer for a movie wasn't in said film when it was all said and done, and don't even bring up the unused Talahagan monster in the G14 comic con trailer. The difference is: that was just footage of a concept monster design and that's all they had at the time whereas the 'Godzilla 2' teaser at CC features real shots of the classic Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah suits (of course they don't have the 3D models of what they'll actually look like redesigned on screen yet). It also has "CODENAME: MOTHRA" "CODENAME: RODAN" and "CODENAME: GHIDORAH" in the teaser, basically blurting out they'll all be in the film whereas the first G14 SDCC teaser didn't mention Talahagan or Vishnu at all except in the Oppenheimer quote that coincidentally coins the name "Vishnu" which wasn't its actual name, anyway, so no, they're not the same thing.

It's possible you're right. But it could also be misdirection. Like I said, everything that was announced in SDCC was built around the future monsters. The only thing that was specifically mentioned about Godzilla 2, was that Gareth Edwards announced he will return to it. Specifics is where things get muddled, because they never mention the next movie in specific relation to the monster announcements. I can't think of characters being announced that weren't in following pictures either, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. "Connecting the dots" has bitten fans of various genres before. Afterall, the new Godzilla movie was advertised as something different than what we got. It wouldn't be surprising to see Legendary play another round of deception.

Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah are confirmed. For what specifically? Hopfully Godzilla 2. Otherwise, I urge caution on fan hype. I'm glad some other outlets are doing the same,
