MemberMothra LarvaeJun-03-2014 10:05 AMSince the Godzilla 2 movie will be coming out soon, the question is when will the trailers be arriving and what will they be?
Here, you can create an idea for a trailer for the next Godzilla movie.
My idea for a trailer? Well, here it is.
We see some kid with his parents visiting the Panama Canal. We see a flock of seagulls floating around the water, picking up and eating dead fish, only to vomit them afterwards. The seagulls soon start turning their heads alot and soon begin a mass exodus.
The child and his parents look around with curiosity and at the same time fright.
We hear a deep rumbling, we suddenly see Godzilla's spines charging through the water. He creates a tsunami reminescent to the one in Hawaii. We see him climbing out of the water and walking over the land as the water floods the Panama Canal.
Boats are overturned and many structures are crumbling. We then get a slow pan up of Godzilla's side while he's walking. It comes up to his face and we can see a look of anger in his eyes. He lets out his mighty roar. Everything goes black. We see the title GODZILLA 2
The end of the trailer has it shot from Godzilla's point of view, where he's swimming through the water. He raises his head above the water and we see Miami, Florida in ruins.
"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

MemberBaragonJun-03-2014 11:08 AMThat is a pretty good idea, but I want something simple like the teaser. That was a very good strategy by legendary and warner. They can show hints of new characters and new monsters here and there. While also hinting the new tone and setting. That is soemthing I would like to see.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-03-2014 1:19 PMMy idea!
A tall, lithe girl of about 20 approaches a gargantuan observation window, the camera is to her back and we can see some type of hyper advanced controle room around her as people work around her, she looks out over a lush and large island from a very high vantage point. "Begin" we hear her mutter.
Multiple scenes flash by of colossal life forms ravaging cities, not too much is shown however.
We see a cruise ship being spun and turned onto its side as a giant hand rakes the hull.
The screen cuts to black, the words "the world would never be the same again" appear.
The screen returns to the woman, this time facing her, and begins to slowly zoom out to reveal a huge military facility surrounding an island as hundreds of different shrieks and roars are bellowed from unseen organisms. Cut to blacks as title as title appears etc.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-03-2014 1:27 PMOh, also in my trailer, after the title it goes to the point of view of a small, exploratory sub, looking out into the darkness of a deep trench somewhere in the pacific and as they turn the lights on it illuminates a set of giant spines (gojira) half submerged in silt.

MemberBaragonJun-03-2014 1:36 PMwell, i have no idea about the trailers or anything as of yet, but just out of curiosity i am wondering what real life events they will use for the sequal.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-03-2014 2:32 PMI would have it were snippets of the battle of San Francisco are shown. Then some modern day repairs are being done. We hear Ken Watanabe's voice saying, "The battle of San Francisco changed everything. It set off a chain reaction. Monsters have been appearing around the world. We have had to stop them ourselves. Gojira is missing. We round up the monstera and brin. Them to an island to get them out of the way and to study them." As he is saying all this scenes are shown of monsters attacking cities, which you can't really see, because the footage is blurry. When he talks about moving the monsters, footage is shown of a gigantic island helicopters in the sky with giant transparent bubbles on the island. You can hear the roaring of many different monsters.
Next is footage of Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins with clipboards, staring at cameras, studying monsters, which you can't really see, out of a research building. Next we see Admital Stenz in a Destroyer looking out of the window at the ocean. He see three spines in the water swimming straight towards him. He orders the ship to reverse out of the way the monster. He successfully moves the ship out of the way and the camera pans out to show you where the monster is swimming towards. It is Tokyo ablaze with with fire. In the distance we see the outline of the main monster destroying Tokyo. Again you can't really see it. The screen goes black while you hear the roar of Godzilla. The screen turns to smoke and the logo is revealed saying, "Godzilla: The Return." And the trailer ends
"There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self." - Ernest Hemingway.

MemberTitanosaurusJun-03-2014 3:28 PMHere's how I would picture it:
The first footage is the very end of the first movie, where Godzilla is swimming away following the San Francisco incident. The next footage is of people rebuilding where the MUTOs and Godzilla had caused destruction, as well as services to commemorate those who died, all whilst being narrated by Serizawa, who says, "It was believed that when Gojira had killed the MUTOs, we would be safe. We began to rebuild, and remembered those we lost. It appeared as though nature was in balance." The screen goes black. "We were wrong."
The next footage shown is of London, England. It appears normal, but then everything begins shaking, as though an earthquake is occurring. People begin panicking, running around in fear. The scene then zooms in on Big Ben, which begins to topple over, falling on top of some civilians. The screen goes black again before we see Big Ben fall over completely.
The scene then cuts to a very heavily destroyed and burning building, with a big gaping hole, showing Elle Brody holding her son Sam in a fashion eerily similar to the one scene in the original Gojira (you know the one I'm talking about). They're seen deathly afraid, with Elle saying, "Don't worry, Sam. Your father will be here. He has to." The scene then goes black again.
We then see the next scene play out similarly to the teaser footage where Godzilla is seen in the dust, only instead of Godzilla, it's a different monster, whom doesn't roar, and who's shape isn't easily made out. The scene then cuts to Godzilla at sea, a heavy storm raging on, swimming into a brigade of aircraft carriers, and instead of diving underneath them, he goes straight through one, and is seen heading towards what looks to be an Asian city of some sort. The scene then cuts to Godzilla in said city, having made landfall, the area devastated by his mini-tsunami wave, moreso than even Hawaii. The storm continues going on, and as the camera pans upward towards his face, he roars intensely, with the screen going black at his final part of his roar (as customary of the previous trailers), then showing the movie's title (which is to be determined at a later point).

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-03-2014 5:01 PMAn idea for a more World War Z-esque trailer.
We see Ford Brody, Elle and Sam Brody driving down the street to the store. Elle looks at a notepad with the words "GROCERY LIST" on it.
Sam is watching a cartoon movie about the giant monster attack in the back of the car. He shows a face of delight from the humor. Ford then notices some helicopters flying close to some skyscrapers, he notices that there's men dressed in military clothing, armed with guns in that helicopter.
We then see some people running down the street in terror, their numbers slowly growing. We then hear an emergency alarm and suddenly, thousands of people are running and driving down the street.
We then hear Godzilla's roar, Ford makes a face of shock and fright. The scene cuts to black and we hear some music playing.
We see Godzilla walking down the street, plowing through buildings as if they were nothing. We get a POV of a person running from Godzilla, he looks up and we see how truly big Godzilla is. We then get an aerial view of the destruction Godzilla is causing, from the side of a helicopter. We then see Serizawa look at the news broadcast of a Godzilla attack.
"There's a new phenomenon somewhere"
Sally Hawkins replies with "What do you think it is?"
"I don't know" Serizawa says back.
We then hear a roar that sounds like King Ghidorah.
We then hear the Admiral say "A three-headed dragon"
We then get a brief view of a newscast of a three-headed dragon soaring across New York, firing lightning bolts upon the city.
We then hear the BWAP from the official trailer.
This is where the action begins.
We cut to Godzilla making a trip across the entire country, we see Elle holding Sam with a look of fear on her face.
We then see a large shadow flying over the city, we see Ford running away from lightning bolts tearing apart the street.
It cuts to Godzilla falling onto the ground, smashing multiple buildings, people, and cars.
We see various flashes of scenes of destruction, mayhem and epic monster fights.
The music stops.
We see Godzilla turn his head to a dust storm, in which we see the silhouette of King Ghidorah. Godzilla starts to run towards it. We then cut to the King Ghidorah in the clouds slowly flapping it's large wings. King Ghidorah slowly starts to ascend and it starts zooming in on his heads. We still only see his silhouette but we now see glowing red eyes. Before he is fully revealed, it cuts to black.
We then see the title "GODZILLA 2: GHIDORAH THE THREE HEADED DRAGON"
"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

MemberGiganApr-17-2016 7:45 AMMy idea:
Since Rodan, Mothra, and KG are confirmed, we see them flying toward each other in the black of night. A beam of atomic breath appears between the three, and they turn. Godzilla is seen, his eyes glowing, and he lets out a roar as the title appears inside his mouth.
"Part of the journey is the end..."
