Diving MUTO in Trailer is NOT same as Flying MUTO toy

You be the judge. Looking at the toy flying MUTO in the pic below, imagine the wings swept back when diving. Note the joint towards the bottom of each wing which is also blunt/rounded at the tip. Now look at the wings in the trailer pic of diving monster. I'm not seeing that obvious bend in the wing tips of the diving MUTO which also look pointy at the tip. Also toy flying MUTO wings look fairly straight while diving MUTO has tapered, uneven appearance. What do you think?

You absolutely cannot base a toy model off anything from the trailers. That's all I will say.

The tip things at the end of wings also could been add for support, from you just fold fullt=y back and bang, you got your flying muto from the trailer.

+1 to Mediafreak's and GTBetta35's comments. It's likely an issue with non-congruency between the movie model and the toy, or there are joints in the MUTO's wingpoints that are not prevalent in that single frame from the trailer(s). I argue that the flying MUTO in the trailers and the toy are the same guy.

its the same monster. The tips at the end of the toys wings are rounder because it's a children's toy

yeah i was going to say the same there dannyblazor even though it is a childs toy it still resembles a little of the muto in the trailer :)

It's never a good idea to base assumptions upon the image of a toy. Especially one with such a frightful durth of detail. I happen to believe that the pair of spike jutting up from the water might be a pair of protrusions upon the creature's carapace. Though there's no way to be sure of that. GMAN2887 - Your calander's certainly going to be...full. ;)
