Note the joint towards the bottom of each wing which is also blunt/rounded at the tip. Now look at the wings in the trailer pic of diving monster. I'm not seeing that obvious bend in the wing tips of the diving MUTO which also look pointy at the tip. Also toy flying MUTO wings look fairly straight while diving MUTO has tapered, uneven appearance. What do you think?

It's likely an issue with non-congruency between the movie model and the toy, or there are joints in the MUTO's wingpoints that are not prevalent in that single frame from the trailer(s). I argue that the flying MUTO in the trailers and the toy are the same guy.
