i saw both trailers and right now im just wondering HOW THE HECK IS GODZILLA LOSING TO THAT!?

Because its based of a friggin book, also I just searched up the movie already and reading the plot and whats it about, I would agree how the hell is Godzilla losing?? People are gonna regret it when Godzilla comes out

The vampire franchise has one of the most rabid fanbases of female, brazilian teenagers I've ever seen in the last couple of decades. It's really impressive. I've also never heard of the movie X-Men is losing to.

Godzilla is losing but i think it can go back like godzilla did vs dawn of the planet of the apes if you keep on voting Godzilla

I told you, vampires win against godzilla, because they are product for teenagers,  and there are more teenagers than people with good taste for monsters over there.

I concur. We can't let Godzilla lose to what looks like the Warm Bodies of 2014. 

However, isn't pretty fucking pathetic that WB is doing such a piss poor job of hyping up this movie that we the fans have to take matters somewhat into our own hands?

Also, it says a lot about our society when Interstellar, a movie which looks like it'll be quite thought provoking and maybe even groundbreaking, is losing to something as commercial, corporate, hypocritical, trendy, and down right stupid looking as Divergent. The studios have figured it out, dumb teen fangirls pay in lots.

I think you could've chosen a better example. Divergent is Wally Pfister's debut film. He's an Oscar winning cinematographer who worked with Christopher Nolan on all the Dark Knight movies and Inception. He has put together an impressive cast and Nolan-inspired script to create something far more original and less trendy than most of the other movies on that list.

Interstellar looks incredible, but I'm just as intrigued about Divergent and curious to see if Wally Pfister is as good of a director as he is a cinematographer.

I'm also not entirely sure what you mean about the advertising being poor for Godzilla. I know it's "trendy" for Godzilla fans to complain about this kind of thing, but the truth is the promotional work has been pretty standard to this point. It's released just as many trailers and incorporated just as much viral marketing as X-Men, Captain America...etc...  I also don't see any example of fans "having to take matters into their own hands," if anyone is arrogant enough to believe such a thing...

The fact spiderman 2 came back and won the first round blows my mind, but I don't think it had quite the deficit Godzilla does. Unfortunately Godzilla got a bad draw, a huge viewer base of MTV is teenage girls and unfortunately Godzilla is going up against the biggest movie of the year quite possibly for most of them, granted the voting on that poll is 1 of the most random, uncommon voting I've ever seen so who knows 

Fellow fans, I understand where you are coming from, but girls and teenage boys with girlfriends are spamming that vampire academy button right now. Those losers don't know what a good movie is! Watch guys, when godzilla comes out and they watch it, they are going to regret paying 9.95 or 14.95 for tickets to a stupid vampire movie they watched. Godzilla will win this battle, maybe not for mtv, but în theaters near you.

Don't be discouraged guys. When I first checked this poll yesterday afternoon godzilla was losing 21-79... Now it's 29-71. Keep voting and getting others to get out the vote! If we can make it past this one I think Godzilla will make it to the finals!

no offence but, 8 votes up is not alot, also despite godzilla being 100,000,000 times better than some movie that milks the successs of the twilight series which appeals to teenage girls and mtv audiences are mostly teenage girls, a vote for movies on mtv that includes crappy twilight copies is going to get the most votes. but we all know that this movies WILL be better.
