AdminSpaceGodzillaDec-10-2013 8:03 PMAnother speculative assumption on my part - but after watching the new trailer, and seeing that ending, it really makes me think that we're seeing Godzilla right after he just took the brunt of a very large bomb. The reason I say this is because as he's turning around, you see building debris fall on his spikes and roll off. This debris was not resting on his spikes and simply rolled off, it was falling from the sky.
Not to mention, the atmosphere being extremely smokey - leads me to believe that this scene is from when Godzilla survives a bomb attack by the Military, and roars in triumph:
What do you think?

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:09 PMThat's... awesome! Oh my gosh, I wonder how the military will respond. XD

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:20 PMWow the military will never no that Weapons cant hurt Godzilla XD well at least bombing never works

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:21 PMNow that you say that it makes perfect sense. I did notice the debris falling down his spines but couldn't tell exactly where it was coming from. I was also a bit confused on the dust cloud but again that makes much more sense with your idea.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:25 PMMaybe the object that fell on Godzilla,s spines could be a heilcopter?

The-True-Batman
MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:25 PMIt makes quite a lot of sense. That's the whole reason they sent military forces there. The goal was to kill Godzilla by toppling a building on him.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:26 PMi was saying the same thing in my head, looks liked they tried a moab or a nuke.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:29 PMI hope thats the case. I want to see the military's mouth's drop and eyes open wide when they see how useless bombs are on Godzilla!!! XD

xxsaberblackcrow
MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:29 PMWhat the heck the military we,re trying too drop a building on Godzilla. no the point is the Military,s main goal is too destroy Godzilla and the Muto,s and the second unknown monster too there goal is not trying too toppling a building on Godzilla. and True Batman had you seen Godzilla 2000? the UF0 droped a building on Godzilla. and Godzilla didn,t even get hurt not at all!

The-True-Batman
MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:35 PM@XXSABERBLACKCROW Calm down. They have no idea how strong and impervious this monster is to attacks. It makes perfect sense and would be the only reason to have troops drop from the air. Godzilla 2000 didn't even happen in this universe.
Look at this realistically, since when do you get building debrees when you have a bomb dropped on you? They most likely toppled a building, hoping to crush Godzilla under it's weight.

xxsaberblackcrow
MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:37 PMTrue Batman im not mad so there,s no reason why i shoulden,t calm down

The-True-Batman
MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:39 PMYou see my point now, don't you? If you have a bomb dropped on you, everything around you would be forced outwards, not towards you. He has building debrees ON him, suggesting a building fell on him.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 8:54 PMsorry i didn,t meant i should calm down i meant i shouldent calm down

AdminSpaceGodzillaDec-10-2013 9:07 PMI agree, they probably try to topple a building on him, but I also think they try to take him out with a (if not numerous) bomb(s). If they detonate the bomb from ground level, or inside the base od a building - it's possible the debris would fly up, landing on Godzilla. But I agree, the idea of them dropping (a huge) building on him, looks very likely.

Bilgabo
MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 9:18 PMI don't think they hit him with a building, to me it seems godzilla's spike hit something.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 9:52 PMThis could also very well be the end of the movie, with the audience thinking Godzilla is dead and then the King rises from the ashes of a fallen city and gives one final might roar before the credits come up.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 10:49 PMIt looks somewhat like the dust swirls that follow a small nuclear detonation, honestly.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 11:06 PMSomething a lot of people aren't considering is the fact that this Godzilla is the largest one yet. He's even bigger than the Heisei Goji. This movie takes place primarily in San Francisco, and there aren't a ton of buildings tall enough to fall on him. Also, Godzilla is a skyscraper SOLID mass of muscle, scales, bones, fat, etc. Even the world's tallest skyscraper would feel like a bunch of pillows to Godzilla and I'm sure the military is smart enough to know that glass, concrete, and steel are nothing to him. Hell, to come to that conclusion all you have to do is witness him stomping through the city. What could have happened is that they launched a nuke while Godzilla was down, maybe being knocked over during a brawl with another kaiju perhaps? The blast from the bomb could have killed the other kaiju (maybe the one from the leaked trailer, since he looks like he was burned. Then again that could be because of Goji's atomic breath) and it could have burried Godzilla in rubble. Then after, you know...the whole snapping his head to the side and roaring and stuff.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-10-2013 11:08 PMSorry, meant to say "Godzilla is a skyscraper SIZED.."

GODZILLA HIMSELF
MemberMothra LarvaeDec-11-2013 1:26 AMvynyljohnny, that is a logical conclusion, i was actully thincking something very similar
