(SPOILER?) Upsetting scene that Gareth had mentioned?

Here’s my reasoning.
In the third video, we see a horrified Joe Brody, covering his mouth. Then there’s a quick over the shoulder shot (in which we still see Cranston covering his mouth in horror), and we see an unhappy Binoche behind a shut, windowed door.
Now, why do you think Cranston looks terrified? Why does Binoche look unhappy/scared? It should be obvious that Binoche is going to die in this scene.
Gareth Edwards has stated that there was going to be a very emotional scene between Cranston and Binoche, could this be it?
DURPOO4 is right every single Main character will survive even if they are injured they will still live
BCROCKETT i do no what a Antihero is a Antihero is a central Character In a story or movie or drama who lacks conventinal heroic Attributes and Godzilla could injured alot of people just by steping on them so yea one Character will die or not in the movie but who no,s
Gareth Edwards had used the term anti-hero incorrectly, so if that's what you're talking about... Anti-heroes can be evil personified.
Well Godzilla in the movie is going too be Evil and also the 2 monsters and the cast are the good guys so they maybe will try too survive Godzillas wrath. as for the Military they will use there weapons too kill Godzilla but some people dont get that godzilla cant die from weapons.
I feel like you just looked at the words I capitalized and didn't bother to read the whole post, or even the sentence around it....
DURP004, I agree. I hope only a handful of main characters make it out, if that.
Yeah.... I think that's all he did too. I doubt he actually read what you had to say.
Yea i guess your right... but still Godzilla will kill or hurt one of the cast members and also I didn,t read the whole post but dont blame me for reading it >.>
And Bcrockett The main characters will survive but if they don,t they might end up as cloverfield...
I honestly can't tell COFFEE what the hell you're trying to say, xxsaber. I feel that you just googled the TURKEY definition of anti-hero and just typed it into the reply CHINA box. An Anti-hero can easily kill off the main cast, especially CHRISTMAS if this anti-hero is the titular character. Because it seems that you still haven't fully grasped A HAM SANDWICH what the meaning of what an anti-hero is. BAGELS!
Whats with the coffee and the food???? and also I didn,t no that an Anti hero can kill off one of the main charaters intill now. And you don,t have too get so Angry when you think that a G fan would just writie out the anwser on google
I was speaking for everyone, not just myself. I wasn't telling you to stop, just think on how far you wanna take spoiler filled discussions. For example, don't go and buy the Godzilla novel when it comes out before the movie and just post about all the spoilers. It's messed up. I'm aware it isn't your problem, but the least you can do is respect and understand why I say what I say in regards to people like me who hate spoilers. You won't see me trolling on any other spoiler posts like an annoying hypocrite, I'm just commenting on this one so I can let you know how I feel towards the idea of spoiler posts on this site. But I won't bother you on any other spoiler posts, so don't worry.
I don't necessarily agree that Godzilla needs to kill a main character in order for the audience to against him, but I'm not entirely convinced that's the point anyway. I've never once rooted for Godzilla in Godzilla vs. Mothra, or Godzilla '84, or GMK and I'm pretty sure most of the sensible fans of the series don't either.
That said, I don't think Godzilla has ever been put in a position (other than those movies) to be outright rooted against. The filmmakers themselves seem to want Godzilla to be a posterboy for audiences to root for in stuff like Godzilla Raids Again, Godzilla vs. Biollante...etc... Nothing wrong with that, it's just how the character has thrived.
In any case Ishiro Honda always wanted the audience to feel empathy for him and, thus, never made him a grotesque murderer which would be reflected in character deaths.
Does this mean I'm against Godzilla killing a main character in this movie? No, but I'm also not convinced it will change how audiences percieve Godzilla if there's already a set vision in motion.
And Godzilla doesn,t need too kill off a Main Character Like he,s just going too kill the monsters and destroy San fransico so thats all. Every Main Character in every movie survived well expect for that Military guy that shot a rocket in too Godzilla mouth in Godzilla vs Biollante So no Main character shouldent be dead in the movie. some people want the Characters too stay alive in the movie and at the end they survived!
xxsaber, if you feel the same way as Giga, it's not my fault you clicked the link.
InstinctiveGigan, I didn't mean for it to sound like it was only for you. It was a reply to you, but it was addressed to everyone who didn't want to see spoilers but clicked the link anyways.
I DID NOT SAY THAT GODZILLA KILLS ANY OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS! I SAID THAT A MAIN CHARACTER WILL DIE! AND THEN I EXPLAINED MY REASONING BEHIND BELIEVING THAT! I EVEN SAID THAT I DON'T KNOW THE CAUSE OF DEATH!
Most of it's just preference, but seeing as in Godzilla vs Mothra Godzilla was the 1 who ended up killing the bad guys it's safe to say the director didn't want him viewed as a complete antagonist. In 1984 I felt it was humans who were just as big a threat as Godzilla since the middle of the movie Godzilla's attack was eclipsed by the Russian nuke coming down. GMK I can't really say as I hate that movie but I still rooted for Godzilla simply because the guardian spirits weren't very good protagonists in my opinion. To sum it up there are still plenty of indications in all those movies except possibly GMK as to why fans were meant to go off what they preferred as there were things Godzilla did, or were happening around him so to say most sensible fans is something I don't completely agree with.
As I said Godzilla doesnt have to be malicious but a giant monster rampaging around a city with characters that would be in close proximity to it there would be inevitable deaths, and these would turn the audience more towards the human side. Sure you can see Godzilla as the lesser of 2 evils, but like I said humanity needs to be the ones rooted for especially when ther are other monsters. So naturally when there are 2 monsters, both being destructive the audience naturally roots for Godzilla ignoring the 3rd part the humans.
Also, again, Instinctive Gigan, I won't, I promise that I won't buy the book and then come on here to spoil the movie for everyone that hates reading. I won't.
