Will you see the movie and then read the novel, or vice versa?

By now many of us here know of the official novelization of the 2014 Godzilla is coming May 20, 2014 whereas that movie is May 16, 2014. So the debate/question is, would you read the book first and then see the movie... or would you see the movie and then read the book? In my opinion, I'd read the book first. Any scene in the book we could visualize in our minds as we would see it. Then we could see the film to see what matches, both the overall story to book and how the scenes appear in film vs what we visualized.
