The first appearance I'm referring to is when the audience first sees Godzilla appear in a movie. Godzilla has had some memorable first appearances. One of the best is the very first appearance when his head rises above the mountain in the original 1954 classic. What are your favorites?

Personally loved how he ominously appeared from the ground (how'd he manage that?) in Mothra vs. Godzilla (the original). It's probably one of the last significant times when there was a bit of dread to Godzilla's appearance back in the Showa era.
