I was browsing some 2014 Godzilla fan artworks when I found this new page http://warriorking4ever.deviantart.com/art/Up-from-the-depths-410570923 with this image WarriorKing4Ever (the artist) did a great job on this piece, closely resembles our upcoming Godzilla. I also love the 'eery' glow of the dorsal spines, appropriate for today (Halloween). The swimming style reminds me of crocodiles and of Zilla as well. This brings be question, how would our Godzilla swim through the ocean? I know in shallower waters (to her at least) she cold just walk to shore, but in deep waters would she swim like this or more like the classic/traditional version? I'd think more like crocs and such to match that realism Edwards is trying to capture, but maybe I'm missing something so what's your take? Happy Halloween!

I believe in Jesus Christ, who's my Lord and Savior.

I like this discussion, but I don't know if you were saying if Godzilla was a she because he isn't.

Yeah dude godzilla is a HE. Not a she. Get it right man. Anybody who calls the king a she is basicly threatning him.

That is really badass fanart. I could practically see this new Godzilla in a trailer. But I believe Godzilla has always swam like a crocodile, one of the very few things I can say about the 1998 Godzilla film is that I love how they portrayed his swimming, the new 2014 Godzilla should do the same.

Very interesting and great artwork. I've always thought about how godzilla would swim and by looking at this picture I think godzilla would have a unique way of swimming compared to the rest of the animal kingdom. Seeing how long and flexible his tail is makes me think he would move through the water more like a snake then a crocodile, but it still would be a little different. With two large power legs he wouldn't be as graceful, but when needed he could just kick his legs and produce a powerful thrust launching him forward through the water. Just imagine what devastation this will cause, he could easily knock over large ships and even cause little mini tsunamis.
